Vivzie just wanted an excuse to get Stolas and Blitz to live together.

Andrealphus should’ve just went up to Stolas and said “WHY THE FUCK WERE YOU GIVING YOUR BOOK TO AN IMP?!”

If you ask me, Belphegor and Leviathan should've gotten their own episodes before mastermind that way Satan's debut would feel more grand like they saved the best and baddest sin for last.

i've never heard of a trial with no evidence.

Yeah Satan definitely should've been made serious and intimidating instead of being a one-trick-pony gag, make him feel menacing and like an actual threat

Not even Phoenix Wright himself could save this dumpster fire that is this episode.

The is that this episode only exists to force Blitzo and Stolas back together with the power of plot

As someone who just finnished Better Call Saul, this Episode shows perfectly how the writers have no idea how Good Legal Drama Works 💀

All Stolas had to do was deny all the fake allegations Andrealphus made but he decided to play into it and sing because he loves singing. I thought the mastermind Stolas was singing by about was Andrealphus but I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Ah yes, the episode where literally everyone is written to be extremely stupid for the sake of speed-running the Stolitz arc.

Andrealphus is just lucky that Stolas is even more stupid than he is. Because if Stolas actually bothered to ask any questions his plan would have failed.

Mastermind should have been the culmination of a season-long story arc...But really it's the first half of a culmination of a 4-episode story arc. Half of Full Moon, all of Apology Tour, a subplot in Ghostfuckers, Mastermind itself, and Sinsmass.

This episode only works with the original pilot cuz stolid is actually villain causing problems for humans through imp

The absurdity of this trial truly reflects Vivizpop sloppy writing

Couldn’t Stolas just deny all of these allegations and then it’s literally just one Goetia’s words against another Goetia’s words? Andre can’t even bring Striker back to testify because Stolas would just say none of the things he said are true, which they aren’t. 😅

it's gotten so bad there's one guy on twitter i see occasionally desperately trying to convince people that striker hasn't fallen from his peak to now a sad puddle of tears

For this episode, you have to GENIULY turn off your brain to enjoy it since the court scene, Stolas musical number and how it worked out made NO sense

I love how a very obvious and easy fix would just be Andrelphas airing out Stolas’s dirty laundry. Instead of this convoluted ass “Blitzo is falsely accused of SA and Stolas conveniently knows how and when to save him”, Andrelphas could have just exposed Stolas for sexually exploiting Blitzo and we can still have a scene where Stolas expresses remorse for his actions, slowly regaining Blitzo’s trust.

Viv needs to quit with the trial scenes in general. She’s clearly very bad at them

My single biggest issue with this whole episode is that all Stolas had to do is say "wtf are you talking about I have my Grimoire right here and Blitz has an Asmodean Crystals." Boom, trial over. Andrealphus's plan ruined. Shouldn't there have been some curiosity that the book was not recovered during the raid?

The fact this episode and sinsmas came just after the break up in full moon it just feels so forced to patch it up and have blitz and stolas so fast. Season 2 is a mess. Which makes me worried for season 3. Every season sets up hyped moments like andrealphus and Barbie wire and blitz’s mom, but then we see the episode and it’s absolute garbage when you rewatch it and analyze it. So I hope season 3 delivers on the hype and don’t back out on Stella. I love Stella as a character and I hope she gets development and show she can be a threatening villain of the writers do her right. Cause you can make boring one not villains memorable if written right but at this stage with the introduction of andrealphus stealing her screen time it hurts her character so much. It’s why I’m nervous for season 3 and it better be more focused than the randomness of season 2.

How I would fix that episode: Andrelphuls tells Stolas he captured Blitz and accused him in court for stealing the book,or get rid of Andrelphuls completely and Stella does that instead to torment him which we know she likes to do. Blitz doesn't have Asmodeus crystal and actually has a book with him, so on trial everyone see that he has a book. Blitz tries to explain that he got the book from Stolas willingly, but nobody believes him , because he is an imp. Stolas arrives on trial and try to defend Blitzo explaining he gave his book willingly and takes blame on himself.Everything is going quite well ,but then Andrelphuls shows that Stolas took anti-depressants and that means he isn't in the right state of mind and could be easily manipulated, let him even accuse Blitz of raping Stolas. Since Belphegor is responsible for Meds she could say that antidepressants actually doesn't effect your decision making to that degree that it is irrelevant to this situation. Let the Stolas be punished for sleeping with an imp and giving him such a precious artefact. Asmodeus could oppose his sentence by revealing he sleeps with an imp himself causing a massive skandal and then Beelzebub reveals she has a hellhound boyfriend. Trial gets cancelled because of skandal that that revelations bring

Others people have already pointed out that this episode is about forcing Stolas and Blitzo back together, so I'm going to point out another issue.

Satan feels underwhelming . He was teased as a literal god for four years, and his design is a masterpiece, but what about his writing? Oh boy. He's easily fooled by Andrealphus and Stolas, doesn't even notice Striker stuttering as he reads his notes or Andrealphus whispering Striker his lines. He can't even give a proper sentence to the upper classes, just making them lives like a lower class, not because of a limitation like Lucifer's, but simply because he doesn't want to, and don't forget how quickly he closed the case about his laws being violated simply because it was lunch break. That makes his "ruler of Hell with an iron fist" position much less credible. It's hard to take him seriously because he does not feel threatening at all.
