In the 80s I had 5/8 on CB and I was the King. As soon as the band was open I had stations piling up from all over the world and giving me phenomenal reports.
Got my license 6 months ago and now I’m going to make one for 10 and one for 15.

Thanks Bro!  I tried looking into 5/8th wave antennas for lower bands than 2 and I had a very hard time finding any info at all!  I gave up for a couple years.  tried again.. nothing.. waited a few more years.. and NOW.. there is some good info! Thanks again!  :)  KD0YKK

Nice job!  This poor ham built a vertical antenna for 17meters. It is a vertical dipole with mounting point 3 feet lower than the center feed point atop a 14 foot high treated wood pole. It is held in place on its  mount simply by tension with a long quarter inch bolt stuck on the antenna clamp through a hole bored horiz through the top of the 4"x4" post set in ground. The small amount of tension required to keep the bolt in the hole without a securing nut is s applied by the weight of the 90 degree LMR400 feed that runs up a through a very near red cedar tree about 25 feet in height and the over horizontally abut 6 feet. Peak of antenna is approximately 23 feet and the bottom element is a few inches off ground, but it had bad rf ground loss possibly through old mossy pine beam used for mast. The added serendipitous bonus & saving grace was is that it swivels to convert to a sloper on the bolt due to my shoddy construction to a nice SWR and rotates elevation angle to any angle of slope desired and can even invert! No matching network except rf isolator choke and a little light work from my internal auto tuner. I believe it had a too low impedance caused by proximity to earth. 75 feet of coax feedline behind the tree makes it almost invisible behind the bushy tree here in suburb. First contact was 1300 miles across the eye of hurricane Milton to Trinidad y Tobago from USA EM27  grid off the side of the sloper's E-W orientation. It was like the hurricane was not even there as far as 18mhz cared. The signal must have skipped right over the whole storm not to get even lightning crashes on the receive. 17 is cool and I built this from the aluminum spars from two large retired rooftop tv aerials and a section of DX Engineering fiberglass tubing doing triple duty as center coupler, mounting surface and dipole insulator. It has strength through dynamic resilience like the Statue of Liberty and uses no guy lines.  It has the appearance of a whaler's harpoon since it gradually tapers to a fine point like a giant silver toothpick. I can stand on the ground and single handedly wiggle the bolt out and lay the antenna assembly on the ground without disconnecting feed, then raise it in same manner, but it is difficult to hit the hole on first try. All sets atop an old disused dense 40 meter radial field on moist loamy soil in Missouri. Mark II on drawring board to add azimuth rotation and free standing movable 'L' reflector/director on ground, hopefully creating a steerable two element sloper beam? Ground mounted reflectors against a sloper are reported to have immensely low -db back null.

Made this antenna today, following your design closely. Worked wonderfully! I found the angle of the radials and height of the LC box moved the SWR around a bit. First contact was NL7V - Alaska, using 25W!  I have the 12M Spiderbeams pole and am going to attempt 20M band by wrapping the wire around the pole, widely spaced to avoid inductance and just enough turns to still have a metre or two above the ground. By the way, I have also made your Moxon for 10M, it’s my favourite antenna. Thanks for all you do to help novice amateur radio operators like me. Best regards, Kevin M7XOM.
