I know you're a busy guy Derek but sure do appreciate when you put out VGL content. Good stuff, thank you.

I am so proud of Bradley, Bailey, and Bentley. I’m an old man with a son of my own. I’m proud of the men they are becoming. I’m proud of the mother and father that have taught them so well. I believe with all my heart that there is something a lot more important than Father’s Day. The most important thing to me is “father’s duty, father’s teaching, etc.”. Derek you’re teaching by being a fine example and being present. When you can’t be present I noticed that you are always participating, it might not be with a bodily presence but it is by your involvement in their life. There is no fear there, or lack of communication. Do you know how many millions of father’s would give almost anything to participate in projects with their dad and vice versa? Keep up the good work. I may never get to shake hands with you but you make me proud with every entry that you, Jessica, and little grip post. Wholesome examples, strength of family values, teaching to restore and not just throw away, whether it be a family member or a Rusty John Deere. Thank you brother from an old man’s heart.

I remember 3 little fellers helping a guy work on a rusty pinkish ‘57 Chevy in an attached garage. Seeing them now!! Boy, I feel sooo old!!

Man, that " good job son I'm proud of you" gets me every time. Thanks for sharing

Watching Bradley drive and weld made a Feller realize just how long he’s been watchin a Guy!! Gotta say, it’s been a great journey!

The header hydraulic cylinders are single action, the weight of the header lowers it to the ground hydraulic pressure raises the header. You have to detach the the header floatation springs in order to attach the header, then reattach the floatation springs and adjust them for proper floatation for cutting hay (about 75lbs at the outside ends of the header push bar).

Just an FYI, swathers like that don't have downward hydraulic pressure, they rely on gravity so you need to back the tension all the way off the springs to get the arms to go down without the head on it

Bradley is doing a great job of learning the skills that will serve him well in the future. It is good to see him in the shop again.

Derek love this i love the way you and Jessica are raising your young humans. The words of encouragement you show your young men is really wonderful to see ❤❤❤

I could watch you and your kids work on the farm/equipment every day, reminds me of my childhood, keeping old junk alive. Happy for you, keeping the old equipment operational teaches appreciation for the work you put in It and patience, lots and lots of patience. Oh and the “good job son, I’m proud of you”  👏 The world needs more dads like this

Good to see Bradley!

These boy's are growing fast!  So cool to see Bradley working that welder like a pro!!

It would be neat to see a side by side comparison picture of Bradley now and Derrick at 16.

Your quote ‘He must have come in from the VFW hot’ made my day. It’s something my Iowa grandfather would have said - or done!

Good God Derek! Bradley is almost as tall as you. Obviously been in a good pasture.... You and Jessica should be proud of the way these fine young mmen are turning out, not little kids anymore, takes time to adjust after an absence.

Nice job Bradley!  Derek.  Love every minute of it.  A month ago I officiated my son's wedding. I'm not sure who was cuttin onions, but their timing was terrible.  It seems like yesterday we were wrenchin on his car and hiking the back trails.  Now he's 30 with a wife and a life.  I'm so blessed he still makes time for his old "pops" but I do miss hugs and snuggles when he was younger.  Thank you for sharing.  Brad.  You got a good Pops.  Don't forget to tell him you love him.  Makes his heart happy.

Fresh off the grind, open the app and there's a Fellar and another human he is responsible for. Yes!

Warms my heart to see you and your boy out there doing this work.

Love Bradley’s truck!  OzarkMark

"If you panick, just hit the fence" is a new Bieri-ism for me and here for it!!😂
