Another solid session. I am enjoying watching you fishing lighter these days. I started fishing light gear years ago. Yes I have been beaten by some good fish, but it is amazing what you can land on light gear & it is 3 times more fun.

I was crabbing for the first time on that day. I saw one of my floats in the corner on one of your Jews. I did some fishing that day too but couldn’t get any to stick. Got a little GT further up the river trying to escape the wind.

I’ve never used active target.
Do u use ur side scan to find fish then use active target to hone in on them? Is it any good in the bay or mainly in the creeks?

I’m a complete beginner that’s bedding a hobby & a work life balance so I’m on the hunt for an all rounder fishing/family boat 4.5-5m side console steel boat with a minimum of 75-90hp motor! Ideally for the bay/rivers & on good weather offshore..Brisbane area!
Have my eye on a stacer 481 & quintrex top ender.
Are there any other good boat brands to consider,prefer Yamaha motor “advised from several boaters”.
Any suggestions on pros or cons, expectations,recommendations,boat dealerships to avoid when purchasing a boat.
Thinking finance from $40-50k for a full boat package!
