Karl is saying urinal correctly, remember the English invented English 😂😂

@jamesaston2031 3 years ago

They didn't question his pronunciation of 'urinal' because that's how English people pronounce it

@JoeD1 3 years ago

"Is that because he's tall though?"

In Karl's words - "it's the eyes!". The 'Karl vs Steve - all the insults' video is a must watch/listen (it's just audio from their radio show) for you at some point!

They don’t flinch at him saying urinal because he said it correctly. It’s English remember 😂🙈

If Karl asks "Are you with me?" Ricky is always going to answer no. And I'm always going to say yes.

Love how Ricky is just dying with laughter most if the time lol

Karl has always considered Stephen a "freak" because of his height (6'7", I believe). Karl's description of how he reacted to first meeting Stephen is too funny. lol

Karl saying about his dad's mate taking him to the pub and no one fretting about it is a very accurate description of life in northwest England up until the early 90s. It's not that no one cared, it was just more likely you'd seen one of your "aunties" or "uncles" and they'd taken you for a bit of a mooch somewhere.

Episode 1 of series 2 is legendary! Gonna be great

Should do a video on all the British accents. I think you’d be surprised how different we all sound. Wouldn’t be funny but might help you work out how English people talk

I doubt there was anything there to learn about the immune system from Karl. I imagine this was just Karl discovering the immune system for the first time and he was excited to tell Suzanne about it.

Mandy perfect timing for reacting to the Karl Vs Steve insults compilations

Karl had his moment of true excitement on the radio show. There would be genuine news and lots of music information. A band named "Half man half biscuit" were doing a gig and Karl read the name of the band and had his moment of wonder. He soon lost interest when Steve told him it was a band name and not a news story.

"It's the eyes."

@davehilton3588 3 years ago

It's Steve's bulbous eyes and height. You see him in Logan?

@Danjames7 3 years ago

You never did anybody any harm” that’s is brilliant 😂

You get a lot of regional variation in pronunciations in the UK, especially over a relatively small area. How Karl pronounces urinal is how we’d mostly pronounce it in England at least

@gary6956 3 years ago

The Pillow Man would be called "handicapped" or "differently abled" today. He was featured in the movie "Freaks" (from the 1930's, I believe).

Urinal pronounced that way is the standard way we say it over here, but Karl does have some very specific sounding words because he's from Manchester and his dialect/accent is very regional. Brits can easily understand, but from an outside perspective I can understand why it might be challenging to listen to him :)
