wonderful to see all those old photos, and makes you realise just how much of Scarborough is still the same today as it was 200yrs ago or so, now that is something to be proud of, not many towns can say that. Scarbough needs a large musuem just dedicated to the telling of the history of the town and how it grew over the years, iti would certainly make people think more when walking round the same streets and paths that people walked down hundreds of years ago
As children we would have 1 or 2 weeks holiday in Scarborough. Full board at Mr and Mrs Davis guest house No 2 St Helens, Queens Street. That was maybe 60 70 years ago, those were good days to be children. Thank you mum and dad.
Absolutely wonderful! Thank you for showing us these splendid photographs. Spot the person NOT wearing a hat. There are few places in the world that have the character and charm of Scarborough (even today.) To wake up early and leave your hotel to see the sun rising from the Italian gardens. Well, nothing could be finer. What is the 3rd piece of music please?
