HEY GUYS! Here is our reaction to The Dark Knight! The second in Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy and this is Niamh's first time watching.

I really don't know what to say about this movie other than, this is truly one of the greatest movies we have ever seen!

Aaron Eckhart doesn’t get enough praise for his performance as Harvey Dent. I think he nailed the part!

Her reaction to Harvey Dent's downfall is everything

44:55 joker claims not to be a schemer and he’s just “ chasing cars” for fun but what a lot of people miss is he’s lying through his teeth. All his chaos and destruction was orchestrated to send a message about how fragile society and their morals are. He wants to break Gotham’s spirit by showing them anybody can be pushed over the edge or as the comics put it “all it takes is one bad day”. This is also why joker is obsessed with Batman because he refuses to break.

The fact that the truck flipping was real, and at least during testing the flip, a person was actually inside driving it is insane. Along with the hospital scene actually being real too. Blowing up an entire building instead of CGI is nuts. Props to Nolan

this film shouldve won more awards than it did...a masterpiece of hollywood cinema!

The best ending to any movie ever. I tear up every single time I see it. Masterpiece

This film will forever be one of my favourites specially because it has the BEST acting I've ever seen in my life with Heath Ledger as the Joker.

@dazparry1580 3 months ago

Heaths performance is so good he turns you into the joker.

Best movie of all time to me. It got no weaknesses. The cast is out of this world. The dialogue, storytelling, music, visuals, the tension that never lets up, it's just incomparable to me. 10/10

The Oscar award academy after giving Heath his award were hit by the fans telling them The Dark Knight deserved Best Picture. They didn't want to give it to a superhero movie. They never made that mistake again. The Dark Knight is the greatest superhero movie ever made..

Joker changing address of harvey and Rachel was his best move

Something that struck me about the ending of TDK is, in a way, it's a complete reversal of what happened to Bruce when he witnessed his parents' murders. Harvent Dent is about to kill the child and destroy a family. The murder of the Waynes created Batman. By virtue of saving the son and Gordon's family, he has to take a life and essentially destroys the Batman mythos. Pretty powerful stuff.

Aaron eckhart is crazily underrated in this movie..his performance was superb....tbh everybody's was...its just ledger was that good it overshadowed that ,the rest of the cast also acted out of their skin

IMHO, this is one of the best, if not the greatest, superhero film of all time. It was perfection, especially Heath Ledger's Joker. To me, his performance is the gold standard. And Christopher Nolan is a genius. Great reaction!!

48:30 the way the music swells always gives me goosebumps...

@LuthenRael94 1 year ago

This is the best superhero movie I've ever seen because there's no hero, there's just the Dark Knight.

36:23 This scene was improvised. Since the last bomb exploded, Heath Ledger continues to play his role non-stop. The guy behind the set pressed the button and boom

This movie was a phenomenon when it debuted. I saw it at least 2 times in the theaters

People keep thinking Joker is irrational. He is not. He is utterly rational.

His goals and actions are evil. Which is a separate thing from rational.

It was irrationality that undid his plans at the end. When people had no rational reason to be good, and perfectly rational reasons to be bad, they chose good.
