republican women accused of being bad at makeup. republican women trying to clap back by doing liberal makeup. but none of them know how to do anything besides republican makeup, so they have to use filters to make it look like anything other than republican makeup, therefore proving the initial point. this is too funny

The Republican look is 100% because they all learned to do makeup from their moms, who learned from/ sold Mary Kay and never learned to update their looks since the 90s.

There was a pretty interesting article about this trend, dubbed "Mar-a-Lago face", on Mother Jones titled "In Your Face" and how it's tied in to gender conformity (over the top obvious makeup to perform femininity), and a throwback to the US President's pickled ideas about beauty standards; that's where the 90's similarities come in. Because a lot of these people absolutely had much subtler styles before they started working with this administration, and changed to adopt a very particular aesthetic to be part of the in-group.

I thought Suzanne went incredibly easy on them! And there were people tracking down her husband and posting about  his job (and his supervisors, weird), and then her resume/job history, where they lived, criticizing how she decorated her home, outfits she's worn, pulling up things years old from her Insta - it was legit bizarre. Of course she lets it roll off her back, but I was like.... she made fun of your make-up in response to you all trying (and failing) to bully her, that's a disproportionate response on every level.

I don't think I'd put a ton of blame on the MUA, these are all the kind of woman who interrupts the artist to do it "the way she likes it" 😂
