I published this video literally 30 seconds ago and someone has already disliked it. C'mon man...

John, thanks for the lesson.  We appreciate all you do for the banjo world.

Dude youre a very good teacher. Thank you!!!

Very informative, thank you!

Thanks for the great lessons

You’re the Todd Parrot of banjo lol. He’s a great harmonica teacher/player here in NC.
Thanks for all the great videos!🪕

Thanks for this video! The flow of the fingers going up these scales is great and easy for beginners like myself. However, I wanted to point out that a natural minor scale also has the 6th note lowered, so in a g minor scale the E should be an Eb!

Thanks, John!

It helps!

Thanks John that was helpful, just a little info on theory is perfect,to much is info is to hard to take in.The chord video helped me a lot to.Will watch them a few more times.cheers

So uh, when are those videos about minor, 7th, 6th chords coming out?

I think many banjo players need more videos like this. This kind of content is rare and valuable. However, you seem to have made one mistake. You teach us that a minor scale consists of the same notes as a major scale, except for a lowered third and seventh. However, THE SIXTH NOTE IS ALSO FLATTENED in a minor scale. What you showed us was a partial melodic minor scale, or simply a minor scale with a sharpened sixth note, which is generally never occurring. Just a small notice for you. I am sure you already knew this, and simply made a small mistake while filming.

I think I need the video before this but I can't find it lol

Is it difficult to go from guitar to banjo?

I don’t have long enough fingers to stretch that far. There has to be an alternative since I’ve seen little kids play super fast. There is no way they can reach like you reach. No?

Way too ahead of my learning as a beginner.

Pan the camera a little lower and just pretend to be George Dubyah Bush. Easy money bud.
