He is referring to God. He's saying if the Devil can find me, so can God. Because if the devil exists then so does God. So he's making a path for God to follow and save him.

“Death inspires me like a dog inspires a rabbit”

I’ve cried through this video so many times! I’m glad you joined me this time. 🥺

Not me deadahh crying to this music video 3 times in a row. There is salvation for me and you in Jesus Christ!

When we discovered that this stop motion film was from 2010 … and Tyler said in the promo teaser that he loves the video … you can see ways in which this film may have been a precursor to many of the elements of the lore. “Death inspires me like a dog inspires a rabbit.” Plus look at the similarities between Tyler in the Holding On To You video and the rabbit in a tux. Look at the way Tyler ran and tripped over a rock in the Jumpsuit video. Look at the rabbit vignette Tyler painted in the bullet casing in The Craving. There is SO much!

I think the song is gorgeous! And this video brings us full circle to the very beginning 🐰

I can’t wait for the IMAX! I will definitely be getting some “TØP-corn” 🍿 😼 I hope you do a review of it!

I spent a lot of time connect the dots and then saw this video was made in 2010, 16 years ago and then my brain did all kinds of new dot connecting. I can see so many ways this video relates to Tyler’s writing over the years so this video obviously had a major impact on him. Death inspires me like a dog inspires a rabbit…

Bro, %100 it is the hand of God here. It's so good.

The "drag path" is the scar of resistance—the grit left behind when you’re pulled toward dark habits. It proves you’re still fighting even as you lose ground, leaving "heels in the gravel" as evidence of your struggle. The rabbit from an empty hat is the miracle of the void; you’re forced to conjure a reason to live because nothingness is no longer an option. The rabbit is leverage—a distraction to keep the "dog" of dread from ending the hunt. Your worth is in the defiant friction of making something beautiful out of the emptiness.
As for the metaphors, those three lights at the start represent the activation of the self (Mind, Body, and Spirit. Trinity) at the beginning of the cycle, with the "fourth"—the current you—still out in the dark. The scissors in the tree show a severed growth or a stunted lineage, a violent pruning of trauma, while the couch and lamppost represent "displaced comfort," or trying to find home while exposed in the wilderness.
The four rabbits at the empty table are the Council of Versions—discarded iterations of the self—and that picture book they’re looking at confirms their existence is just a scripted cycle of past memories. It shows that art provides company, but not sustenance. Even the false rescue of the moonlight and the reaching hand, which seem to offer a spiritual escape, end up being part of the magician's curated trick. The hand saving the rabbit is actually the artist’s own; you are both the prey and the magician forced to manifest your own survival.
When he sings "I'm still on fire" and "Can you find me?", the lyrics bridge the gap between the magician (the controller) and the rabbit (the prey). It’s the realization that while you’re digging your heels in to leave a trail, you’re ultimately waiting for a version of yourself that can finally break the cycle.

When you said he was so cute, I knew it would hit you hard. This song hit me hard, too. After losing my brother and mom only four months apart, I have been struggling with anxiety, depression, and my faith. The lines of:  "When I see the devil's eyes, I'll look away and smile wide, You found me. Then I'll know you're also there, 'Cause proof is in the adversere" I took that to mean that he smiled, because if he sees the devils eyes, then God must be there, too. You can't have one without the other. To me it switches from the devil found him to his asking the Lord, can you find me. He says, "A drag path etched in the surface, As evidence I left there on purpose." It meant so much to me.

Without seeing the video I knew it was going to hit me. It's still hard not to get through it without tearing up.

I hope you do a review video of your experience of the Twenty One Pilots concert movie

I cried too.  Absolutely faith based.  I was speechless.  I love this,  but putting the original with this concept would be amazing because there are some very important lyrics left out of this version.  Love them both.

Well done fren.  Great reaction ❤|-/

This song reminds me of when I find a snail or a worm in harm’s way on my path — I gently scoop them up and move them somewhere safe .  And yeah I got my tickets! Let's goo... 🚀

Faithfully speaking, this video brought me to tears, it did again to watch you enjoying it as well... wow man, thank you so much not only for reacting, but also for sharing your emotions 😭

Out of everyone I’ve seen so far, your genuine heartfelt reaction really resonated and connected with me.
I could tell how hard the resemblance with faith hit with you, man, I love it.

they did shorten it and restructure the song, remove some lyrics, etc - so the first verse of the original does say "he found me" but he removed all the "he found me's"

I GOT MY TICKETS FOR THE MOVIE!!! My fiance surprised me and got them for us. So excited about it, genuinely

this song be having me cry like a baby

I like the video. I dislike how they left out the hope that is at the end of the digital remains version. That is the part that gets me every time. With that, still love the video and it fits perfect with the animation.

I totally believe that's his reasoning behind it, too... the hand of God reaching for him....the scissors ✂️ in the tree, he SH himself and he has tattoos that cover the "drag paths" etched in the surface up.... I truly believe this is what they mean 😢❤. I'm sobbing and I've never even been through any of this, but I know people who have
