I'm going way back. Remember the cow on the corner? Going to the mall and seeing her was a fun day.

Harford Mall was great in the 90's when it had a movie theater. I remember seeing so many movies there as a kid including Batman Returns, True Lies, Houseguest, The Lost World and Lost in Space.

The old timers remember when the mall was built.  It replaced the Bel Air Racetrack and really nice regional thoroughbred racing location.  People were upset when they tore down the track and leveled the old tree that was inside the infield.

Where my 80’s babies at? Who else remembers the talking Rudolph? They had someone inside the “box” controlling it, but she/he would interact with you, and converse. One of my favorite childhood Christmas memories.

Harford Mall changed a lot in the 15 years that I have lived in Maryland. I was surprised at how busy it was on a Sunday and all the folks wearing the Ravens jerseys and hoodies. Now, it's dead.

I worked in Hechts/Macys from 2000-2005. Used to be you couldn’t even find a parking spot on that mall parking lot at Christmas time.

The food court was epic.

Man horn and horn movie theater and skateland out back lots of memories

Woolworth's was the best! So many changes over the years!

There used to be a building outside towards the back of Sears, which was originally a Montgomery wards auto Center and then a Sears auto center. Then for a short time, I believe it became a Macy’s furniture store.

The food court used to be Macy’s right before the food court while the now Macy’s building was Hechts. The Red Robin started out as a horn and horn and then that changed to a cactus Willie’s and then to a Red Robin. The sleep number store used to be an arcade. They used to be a BGE home, appliance store a RadioShack GameStop. We are the Best Buy is in back at least at one point in time was considered part of the mall. The Best Buy used to be a grocery store called basics more across business route one used to be called mall and used to have the Kmart, some a couple of the back hallways of tollgate mall still exist, but I would say about 90 to 95% of them have been absorbed by all the stores. I believe the wools worth used to have a restaurant attached to it too what you called a subway used to be a Chinese restaurant. There was a subway, but it was in the food court.

Dang the Harford mall was my local mall for years

The last mall Friendly's I can remember being open was the one inside Buckland Hills Mall. Then again, that was way back in the 2000s.

This makes me so sad…. I worked for Mid-Atlantic Realty Trust and CBL…this mall was a big part of my career and I have lots of fond memories.

The Food court on Friday nights in the 90’s was CLASSIC !!!! Boardwalk fries, and talking to girls who don’t go to your school…standing in line for sneaker releases…hmmm, those were the days❤

I mostly remember stores back in the 1980s when I used to hang around there. Back then they had a theater, arcade, Radio Shack, Walden Books, Walden Soft, Record Go Round, Horn & Horn, Things Remembered and I'm drawing a blank after that. I was there just today, and Hot Topic was having their closing sale and is closing at the end of August.  With Harford Mall and East Point Mall closing, maybe that will boost White Marsh mall that's in between the two.

12:23 I used to go to the Friendly’s a lot with my parents and grandparents. The memories 😢

I grew up in Cecil Co and this was the primary mall of choice until my early 20s. Disappointing to see its decline to this stage. So many memories of its changes from the early 90s. Mall life was such a fun lifestyle and certainly a reality check to the way of the world now. The generations ahead will never know the fun of social interactions, people watching, meeting a potential date, or window shopping quite like what a mall offered. Similar to "cruising around town" to socialize and find out where the party was that night. Haha. Thanks for making this.

I remember cactus Willie’s where Red Robin is today. My grand pa would take my brother and I there and we would make our ice cream sundaes ourselves since it was a buffet style

3:10, Villa Pizza…used to be a bath n body works I think, then was Walden Software which became EB games, then game spot….used to be a nice movie theater there too. Remember seeing the promo posters for Ghostbusters 2, was so pumped as a kid

Sooooooo many memories from the 80’s!
