The joke is that every one of them think that Space King talks exclusively to them personally.

To quote a particular Psycho Warrior:
"NO...GIRLS...ALLOWED!"

So... How long do you guys think it will take before she finally realizes why Chestnut is named that?

2:43 that's a "Crista" (or crest), a type of helmet decor that was popular in Ancient Roman times.

17:09 globulus is basicly BALLS where their consciousness reside, so chestnut being a medic having to retreat his teammates balls and hang it around his chest is literally CHESTNUT

@10:40 "I don't like how this is looking." "I don't like how this is looking." "I LIKE how this is looking!"

Ah yes, another vtuber has come to give praise to Space King.

PRAISE BE TO SPACE KING!

You already know what the Globulus are and why they're there, you saw it in the intro when they turned the LITTLE BOY into another Psycho-Warrior! You'll get more explanations in episode 2 - also dont skip their promo videos, ESPECIALLY Hatemonger's Sermons

So, the Globules are a direct parody of the Space Marine "gene seed" in Warhammer 40k. To avoid getting bogged down in extraneous detail (which is extremely easy to do when discussing anything related to Warhammer), I'll give a very bare bones overview of the relevant bits:

-Space Marines are genetically engineered super soldiers in power armor.
-Space Marines were created by the God-Emperor of Mankind.
-Normal humans (usually teenage boys) are turned into Space Marines by having Gene Seed implanted into their bodies.
-The Gene Seed gradually mutates them into giant muscle-bound killing machines that are indoctrinated to have absolute devotion to the Emperor.
-When a Space Marine dies, his Gene Seed can be harvested by an Apothecary (basically a Space Marine medic) to eventually create a new Space Marine.

Simply replace "Emperor of Mankind" with "Space King" and "Gene Seed" with "Globules", and you get the opening scene of this episode - little boys getting turned into giant brainwashed Psycho Warriors by having their testicles vacuumed out and replaced with "Holy Globules".

Obviously I've left out a ton of detail on the Warhammer end, but that's the gist of why the Globules are so important, why the Captain was so reluctant to let the Alien eat one, and why Chestnut made sure to collect them from his dead squad at the end of the episode. Without the Globules, they can't make Psycho Warriors.

The whole deal with the kids is that in 40k, Space Marines are initiated at a very young age in order for their genetic enhancements to work properly, and some chapters have some very morally questionable ways of acquiring new recruits, sometimes outright kidnapping.

15:20 that's a refernce to the Dead Poets Society movie, Robin Williams (RIP) was in the movie.

11:10 Quite literally same brain cell moment in the best way possible 😂😂😂

If you’ve ever seen Big before, the best way I can describe Space King is “Big but set in the 40K universe.” 75% of this squad is basically 12-year-old brains in astartes bodies, and their high command is an exhausted parent.

Space king, is king of space. He is everyones dad

The Globules are the balls. It’s not necessary but knowing 40k Imperium lore makes this way funnier since this is a parody of that setting. In 40k Space Marines, the big dudes in big armor, recruit young teenagers/pre-teens. Over time they surgically implant new organs o turn them into warriors. In this setting they take “little boys” and just replace their balls with the Globules. The globules can kinda be thought of as something that contains the soul of a psycho warrior. That soul takes over the body of the boy the globule gets put in and rapidly changes it into that psycho warriors form. We see this at the beginning of the episode. This gets expanded on in the next two episodes. So as long as both globules aren’t destroyed they can kinda live on and be reborn over and over.

At the end of the day it’s a dumb joke about how boys souls are stored in the balls and what if you stuck the mind of an 8-10 year old in the body of Ronnie Coleman and gave him power armor to fight aliens.

This show was made as a middle finger to Games Workshop, the owners of the Warhammer IP this show is parodying, because they became assholes and DMCAd almost all popular fan made content.

15:15 - The reference is most likely to the movie "Dead Poets' Society," which in turn was referring to the 19th-century poem "O Captain My Captain". The movie is an absolute classic, and well worth the watch.

8:40 they all cant hear space king, its just each of their perspective of space king

19:19 Giggling as you watch a near total-party kill is one of the most Guild Receptionist reactions to have.

20:17
Balls

Oh Captain, My Captain is a reference to a Walt Whitman poem about the death of Abraham Lincoln.

Or the book/Robin Williams movie Dead Poet's Society which also uses it as a motif.
