What a blessing.  Good news.  Take this next 6 months to pursue temporary residency.

Glad you got the FMM Mike! Cheers from one of your youngster viewers

wow thank you my friend I appreciate you for the shout out. I will look into the resident status as well I'm Mexican American born in Chula Vista. GOD bless you brother.

Yay!!! Great news! So happy for you!!! 👏🏾Like I said in a previous comment, I'd get residency asap if I were you. The government always raises the salary you need to prove financial solvency, and I know people who were priced out the last time the govt raised it. You don't want that to happen to you! Also, this is what I hate about immigration policy, and it's the same thing coming to the US. There is no "policy." It just matters which immigration agent you get, if they're having a good or bad day or feel generous, and if they like you. Things that are against "policy," both in favor and against the tourist/resident, happen all the time in most countries. You never know what to expect!! BTW, I wonder if your friend's FMM issue was due to the problem he had with the MX police...?? Maybe that's on his record?

Let’s go Big Mike, happy for you!

I’ve heard of that happening but mostly at Cancun airport

My mom was Mexican, with a First Nation father ~ I want to retire in Mexico next year. I know it is easy for me because of my mom, to become a dual citizen. Blessings!
