I got my C64C in 1991 and I loved it. My go to games were the compilations - Quattro, Power Pack, Zzap Megatape etc
My most played tape was Quattro Coin Ops, mainly because my parents loved the Pinball, Pub Trivia and Fruit Machine games on it!
But this tape (Quattro Super Hits) was advertised inside. I always wanted to find a copy and play it but never did.
It's a sobering thing to realise that those 4 games that looked so appealing and I coveted so much turned out to be kinda rubbish 😄🙁
Thank you for the review though!

I had super hero on my amstrad. It didnt fare much better on that, from memory 😅 Enjoyed the review!

A mixed bag of four games in that one. Super Hero was coded on the C64 by Martin Ellis (who did Phantoms of the Asteroid) and he talked about Super Hero in a recent interview with FREEZE64 (well worth getting to read.)  It does suffer but tried at least to have the big graphics.  Super Tank would have been better allowing the control method choices for the first stage so you could decide what worked best, although the rotational does mean you can shoot enemies.  Super Stuntman is okay but can get repetitive and KGB Superspy for me is the best of the four - it is difficult but doable once you master the controls.  Matt Gray's end of level music is also from the film Escape to Victory incidentally - he liked the film massively so had to put it in!

I remember, when me and my older brother were young boys back in the early 1990's,
our dad took us to a former game store
in Tikkurila, Vantaa (Finland 🇫🇮),
and that day, i bought NITRO BOOST CHALLENGE for our Amiga 500 😹👍.
It was absolutely challenging 😹,
but why pay more 😹😸😺👍🕹️.

Also, at that same time, my brother bought the Marvel Comics computer game,
CAPTAIN AMERICA & SPIDER-MAN
IN DR. DOOM'S REVENGE for our
Amiga 500 😹👍🕹️.

Great review! Super tank and KGB Super Spy would be my favourites from that selection. KGB Super Spy would be a lot better if it was more close to choplifter in gameplay, as you pointed out. Still, for £3.99 back in the day it's not too bad.

Quatro Hits from Code Masters, for C64, you mention £2.99 for 4 games. Back in the day, good value, agreed. Super Hero, very odd they converted it from Amstrad, like that, all the Dizzy games were apparently first Amstrad games, yet they got those huge, very colourful borders then the game inside the remaining space, inside the remaining screen but everything was visible for the player. Quatro Hits for NES, several editions, featuring the likes of sports, arcade, adventure, etc. 4 equivalent quality games either Code Masters or Camerica, but for $30 or £30 ish quid. Far too much compared to the £2.99, but each one might have included an NES game genie?

super tank looks good.

Don't remember any of these from back in the day, and not surprised. All seem abit meh. Sorry about my channel membership, noticed my name was missing so fixed the payment issue.

"BRILLIANT!" Yea OK calm down David. :p

I thought this was a pretty poor selection. Super Tank is the best one there, I enjoyed that. KGB Supersky gets very repetitive, Super Hero is a let-down with its chunky graphics, and Super Stuntman is very poor. I preferred Rack It's 5th Gear as an overhead driving game. The only thing that's Super about these games is the name!

Bit of a dud overall.  Superspy doesn't look too bad.
