It's not about good or bad, it's still a huge blow to Octavia knowing that Stolas would rather die for a home-wrecking and unbalanced lover over staying alive for his beloved daughter and leave her alone with neglectful mother and especially uncaring uncle. (Allegedly, they still haven't confirmed fully how Stella actually sees Octavia.) It can be really devastating to a child to not be able to rely on the only support you ever had, especially with a bad mother and zero friends, as we learned from the latest Short,  The Princess and the Pupper.
This actually plays exactly to her worst fear from Loo-Loo Land. Even though he did not ran away with someone else, Stolas was about to go somewhere where she couldn't find him, leaving her behind.

Nah in spirit he did choose blitzo because she rather die for him than live for her. He didnt need to do all that crap.

I'm gonna be so honest rn. Via is the only good thing and decent character, in Helluva Boss..

Mastermind was cluster fuck of bullshit that only works if the writers made the characters deliberately stupid because Stella brother plan had so make holes that all it would take is one person rubbing two brain cells together to complete unravel it like Stolas explained how is wife try to kill him

I like that you don't portray Stolas as a victim in the moment where Stolas saved Blitz. That’s the least he should do for him—after everything he’s put him through.
I once heard (unreliable source! This info might be wrong) that Vivziepop doesn't like writing scripts for Octavia.

Stolas offered his own life for Blitz’s. He actively chose to kill himself rather then do something reasonable like day they made a deal and is just Blitz’s investor or something. He would rather be dead then be alive for Octavia.

Let's not ignore that Stolas nearly got executed for defending Blitz. That is Stolas choosing Blitz over his daughter ( In her eyes ). Octavia saying, " You never loved us more than Blitz," makes sense because she's a teenager. She's been neglected because Stolas is focused on his relationship with Blitz. Even if it was an accident, Octavia has a point. Stolas chose to put himself in danger and risk leaving Octavia forever to save Blitz.
I don't think that they thought the plotline for the trial through. Octavia is also a teenager and is being manipulated by her mother. It makes perfect sense that she would be told the wrong thing about her dad. Octavia doesn't really care about Blitz; she sees him as an imp homewrecker and blames him for everything bad that's happened to her family.
I can see them going with the solution where they just give Stolas back everything, and Octavia ends up telling Stella off or killing her off.

This whole fiasco is just another reason how terrible the writing and plot is for this disappointment of show

I wait to see ... I just hope Loona and Octavia will have more time to shine and ... Why not serve to help their stupid fathers open their eyes ?
And I prey we will not have a dumb plot like mastermind, amazing song but this was so dumb hoping someone for the news, goes here and be stupid enough to claim culpability instead of ... Just exposing the facts ruining everything

7:30 no their were accusing him for of trying to kill Stolas they barely talk about the book that he was using illegally

Honestly. Octavia should just be a villain. Mastermind only solidified that. She took saving a lowly imps life over giving her all his time as a slight. She doesnt talk to him, apparently accepts how Stella treats him thats in NO way hidden.

Nah Octavia is Stella's daughter. Shes the villain, the trust fund hell baby that cares about nothing but her self centered world. The fact Loona connects with Octavia, the girl that would rather Blitzo, her ADOPTED FATHER die and Stolas remain miserable and alone to  HER privileged benefit, is just scummy on a writers side.
If Loonas hated for anyone is justified, Octavia would be number 1 when you think about it.

Octavia killing Stella would be satisfying
