I made an unserious joke that the waiter and Big Foot have a better relationship than Stolizt.
Then the credits of that short showed them actually enjoying each other's company, and I realized It's un-ironically true lol.

"i don't want to put real life stuff in the show"

> Jeffery Dahmur in the pilot
> Charlie says "Hitler" at one point in the episode where she's in the News

Yeah, Viz. i don't think that's how it works

I can’t stand how Vivzie think she’s being revolutionary for satirizing things that have always been talked about. People have been making fun of tyrants and perverted bosses since forever, it’s not a new thing. The blitzo Epstein joke feels really tone deaf though, actual children have been abused and died as a result. Just eughch.

Chaz being alive, if it's canon, only further undermines Crimson as a villain, making him look like a bigger joke than he did before. Like who has he ever actually killed apart from his wife, and the goons he sent to get mutilated by Millie.

Spindlehorse during the HHxHB crossover : remember animation take time

Also Spindlehorse : how about we make a huge waste of time and money on a 5 minutes bit where it's the same joke stretched for far too long, the characters are stupid or unlikable, and there's no character development (aside from Sallie May) ? That way we can sell even more merch

Judgmental Critter called these shorts “really long and boring ads” and… yeah lol

You know despite being one of the supposed main lead Loona's strangely absent in a lot of these shorts. Don't know if it's cause of budget restraint or they have a hard time fitting her character in this type of format (considering what happened in orphan time) But it says a lot about how she's underutilized she is in the show when she's even sidelined in shorts .

So…here we are, the pseudo event horizon of Viv’s writing.

The shorts that were meant to tide the fans over by showing the imps doing assassination work has devolved into mostly mellow drama and not focusing on the assassinations.

I actually hate chaz so much after this, I already thought hey this dead character I don't care about still gets so much merch when other dead characters I actually liked get nearly nothing. Now he's revived and will probably get even more merch

All those Helluva Shorts are pretty boring to me. Nothing exciting ever happens, and they always end with some stupid sex joke. Vivziepop seems to have completely given up on writing anything decent.

And maybe one about Glitz and Glam getting bored as the Greed Ring mascots and they bump heads with Verosika on a tour concert in Envy or Lust doing a promotional influencer thing like Coachella

The song about Vox saying the Führer or whatever he said, just felt so obviously in link with Hitler. That acting dumb about it, not doing it to make a reference to Hitler is just dumb when I hear how the voice actor say the word it sound really like the German word over an English word. Honestly you can't just put a reference to something and act like you didn't and act like a coward about it. And honestly she already make a joke about Charlie being called Hitler, also the show doesn't hesitate from making jokes on incest and anything else too.

I don't think Vivzie's show concepts work with the type of writing she wants to implement. Hell itself can be a source of extremely diverse and oftentimes perverse humor while also being able to tackle serious issues in regards to - Oh I don't know - how eternal damnation affects people's perspectives.

It makes me so angry with Hazbin particularly because that show is strictly covering the lives of sinners who's afterlives are meant to be shitty. The sinners though don't seem to suffer anymore than the day-to-day problems back when they were alive.

With Helluva, there was a VERY simple concept taken way too far by it's soap opera-esque direction in the script mixed with edgy Tumblr millennial culture.

Id have a short featuring Millie on a solo mission and she has to fight Barbie Wire on the job. But now millie has a crystal and can take the target out faster with a human cloak

The Big Foot short drives me INSANE. Moxxie is supposed to be smart, but can’t see the obvious and it’s infuriating. I can excuse Millie and Blitz because they’re not the SMARTEST, and this is a human myth they’re unfamiliar with. BUT MOXXIE???? SERIOUSLY? SERIOUSLY????

When I saw Bee's design at Chaz's "funeral", I said those (almost) exact things outloud lmao

You can tell how much vivziepop smokes based off of how she writes one episode or god forbit a short.

My main gripe is that a good portion of the shorts are what the original premise of Helluva Boss should've been. Just a guy and his workers going around killing contracts in the human world (the occasional look into the life of others like Stolas would be fine if it wasn't forced to be an integral part to the story)

They also sell merch on the short, I think the one with the Big Foot is pretty bad, because it sexualize him, and kinda fetishize gay men as he is gay in the short.

I do have my own thoughts on these shorts with my main complaint being these would’ve been better if they were longer or even just a full episode.
Big Boss just feels pointless with it just summing up to “Blitz just screws around for 5 minutes” and I didn’t find any of the jokes funny. But I do feel like this could’ve been an interesting character analysis on how Blitz wants to be viewed as a boss and it could have revolved around him kinda getting a second chance to prove he is a good boss.
Between the three shorts Bigfoot is probably the best and in a vacuum it’s good on its own, but as mentioned the ending feels a bit fetish like and just having them being cute like in the end credits it would’ve been better. And if it got more runtime I would have liked to see more skits between Bigfoot and the IMP gang because I found their chemistry pretty funny and I would have also like to learn what the Bigfoot is in the Helluvers like how Ghost F*ckers told us what ghosts are.
Chaz’s Funereal I feel disappointed in more than anything, because there is such a good premise but they completely fumbled the narrative. Because the IMP gang going to Chaz’s funeral with Moxxie and Milli convinced that Chaz is still alive is a great premise. And if I could write this then I would have made it a full episode and have the A plot revolve around Moxxie and Milli trying to prove Chaz’s bluff and delve into what their relationship was with him because I doubt we are getting any more information about that anywhere else. Then make the B plot have Blitz talking with the other guests because he was the last person he got with so I could see Blitz being interested in learning a bit more about Chaz. Then make the ending reveal that Chaz is actually dead and Zach is his actual twin and just have the resolution be that Moxxie and Milli learn to put the past aside and focus on what they have now, and maybe make Blitz wonder if people will react the same when he dies.
TLDR, these shorts had potential but just didn’t act on them
