Gotta love the VHS tearing at the bottom. I was a kid when I watched this on ESPN. I wore out the tape....

These videos bring back memories.. When I was a teenager and totally obessesd with bodybuilding these were all the guys I used to look up to.. I used to buy all three of Joe weider's magazines every month, Flex, Muscle and fitness and Iron man..

I remember all those awesome bodybuilders just look at there condition amazing

Bkdybuilders in those days had to be multi talented, they had to be able to sing,  dance and have outstanding muscularity.

Luv the old school music tracks 😁😁😁

Steve Brisbois i love you

You got a gold mine man! Takes me back in time... god bless you for ur work.

HARRY DINGER, best name in bodybuilding ever...😀

Love this vintage bodybuilding coverage! Waiting in anticipation for anything else you have from the October and November American Muscle Magazines! You asked me a few weeks ago what was in those episodes. I know exactly what is in them. Great stuff. Great memories!

Shawn Ray one of the best ever. I remember seeing him in seminar in Nottingham just days after his pro debut at the 1988 NOC. Though he debuted placing 4th, I believe, he looked incredible in person. I bought a photo at the seminar and he wrote 'Get Big' on it! Still got it to this day. The next time I saw him was in 1995 at a seminar in Bolton. Great memories.

Nimrod king what a name

Thanks for posting this.

Thank you for video!

October and November of 1987. Sorry..forgot to mention the year. 88'-91 was great as well.

Mike Ashley looked amazing, I have him winning

Hey Anything, these tapes are obviously old, but the static on the bottom may just be due to tracking? Most VCR's have a tracking adjustment, and because old tapes stretch a bit you need to adjust that to rid your playback of static.

Was that a straight jacket he was wearing?

I tylko 24 lata .
Dzieciak jeszcze 😊

Was this the contest Shawn won and failed the drug testing thus the title went to Mike.

Shawn Ray looks great, but Gary Strydom appears to have a better overall physique…IMO
