Join me for an early morning walk through Susukino, Sapporo's famous entertainment district.

This walk begins along Route 36 and soon reaches the Susukino Crossing. From there, we walk along Sapporo Ekimae-dori and explore the main streets and side alleys of Susukino.

Although it is early morning, Susukino is far from empty.

Because it is Sunday morning, many people are still out after spending the previous night in the city. Some are looking for the next place to go, some are heading toward the subway station, and others are lining up for an early bowl of ramen.

At the same time, people starting their working day can also be seen around the city.

This is the unique atmosphere of Susukino in the early morning — a moment when people finishing their night and people beginning a new day share the same streets.

After exploring Susukino, the walk continues north along Sapporo Ekimae-dori, through Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade, and finally ends at Nijo Market in the early morning.

Experience a side of Sapporo that looks very different from the daytime and late-night city.
