I began this walk at Sapporo Station, but as soon as I stepped outside, it was raining.
So instead of walking above ground, I decided to explore Sapporo's extensive underground city.
The walk begins at APIA, the underground shopping area directly connected to Sapporo Station.
From there, we pass in front of the Sapporo Subway station and enter Chikaho, the large underground pedestrian walkway connecting Sapporo Station and Odori.
Even though it was a weekday afternoon, the underground space was quite busy because of the rain.
Along the way, you'll find exhibition panels, small shops and various displays throughout the passage.
And, as usual, one of Sapporo's familiar security robots makes an appearance!
We then continue through Odori Station and enter POLE TOWN, eventually reaching the area directly underneath Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade.
From Moyuk Sapporo, we finally return above ground.
Tanukikoji is also a great place to walk on a rainy day thanks to its covered arcade.
By the time I reached Tanukikoji 1-chome and looked up, the rain had stopped and blue skies were beginning to appear.
The walk then continues along the Soseigawa riverside and ends inside Nijo Market.

大通ビッセの大金庫
以前そこの土地に経営破綻した旧北海道拓殖銀行本店がありました
北洋銀行が引き継いだ後、老朽化でビルを立て替え、ビッセができました
国内最大級？らしく、その時に大金庫の展示を始めたらしいです
なにか撮影OKのイベントやパフォーマンスというわけでもなく、ごく日常的な歩行空間なのに映り込みに対するモザイクも中途半端。
もし編集に手間がかかるとしても見知らぬひとに知らないうちにこんなにはっきり映されて、全世界に動画まで公開されていたらそれがどういう状況であれ自分は嫌ですが、自身のお姿は映さないのをいいことに、投稿主はそういうの感じない方なんでしょうかね。
サムネイルに映っている女性ふたりにも絶対許可とか取ってないですよね。
足元の動線表示にも一切目もくれず対向歩行者に突っ込んでいくのも日頃から人とぶつかるとか標識への注意配慮は一切されていないんだろうなと感じました。
