Nice little pond that. That uv light is in the perfect place, the bacteria on the filter media will be fine. I reckon its in the most efficient place at the center.
And cheers Perky, awesome weekend. I dont think anyone who wasnt there can understand how much of a laugh we all had

The UV is positioned in the center of the EasyPod, while the static K1 media surrounds and shields it. Therefore, only a small portion of the bacteria is directly exposed to UV light.
In practice, the loss of biological capacity should be very small. Most of the nitrifying bacteria are protected within the biofilm and between the K1 media. I LIKE IT YOU LEGEND!
