You found a Geocache in that tree mate!

Fishing became a complicated alchemy. When I was a child in the 80's, a couple of worms on the hook or a sweetcorn did the trick😂. Now the fish gets a 3 course meal with a prepaid desert and a bottle of the best house wine😂

First time back on the channel in a few months and he has doubled in size, I’ve never in my life seen someone change this quickly

Now that's how you build a proper community, nicely done

I'm extremely impressed how you rolled with the punch on the wrong fence issue, and turned it to an advantage! I've done over 40 years as a carpenter & joiner and always get stressed in those situations!  Well done!

That little pot is called a geo cache, it's a hidden treasure game for all ages, my kids loved it when they were young

im locked in on this series

you were great with that young lad! hope the project is a massive success and may the flytippers get the karma they deserve.

Wish you the best of luck Ben in your new fishery. Sounds like its going to have many headaches along the way, but seeing you guys get so happy when young boy caught fish, put a smile on my face :)

Get some black thorn planted in-front of the fence mate

Never been interested in fishing to be honest, nor do I know anything about it but stumbled on this video I think its something I could get into ,love your energy and enthusiasm in this project.

Best thing you can do is get someone who likes pest control down there if you know what i mean, he will be up at ungodly hours keeping unwanted persons of at the same time and a few good baliffs. Dig a ditch round weak security areas and plenty of cctv on the perimeter. Leave room both sides of fence so you can mow it because trees will grow through that expensive fencing in no time. Good look Benny boy keep building the dream 💪

The didicoys will circular saw through the fence just out of spite…

That marker with that paper with a list of names is a geocache spot

Great work from the team ! Well done everyone. Of course it's now a target so I hope eventually people calm down and leave it alone. Good luck !

It’s looking amazing! Hats off to you and everyone involved. You can hear the passion in your voice! 💪

Ben, as soon as I seen a video a few years ago about you wanting to build kevs pool I thought ‘that’s exactly what I want to do’. My love for cars, fishing and me also loosing my dad almost made me relate to you even more. From seeing you and your mum make kevs pool fishable and newly test long lake is honestly so inspiring. I wish this project and the ones to come in the future well and I will be there every upload.

Aww man you guys are amazing for young fisherman so much respect. Also first vid

Don't be afraid to hammer the overgrowth back in the winter. It'll look a little brutal to start with but by the time spring comes around it'll book better than ever, you'll get a greater variety plants coming through in the absence of dense patches of pioneering monocultures (brambles/gorse etc.) and with a greater variety of plants you'll get a greater variety of animals.
I pretty much flattened all the overgrowth at my estate lake last year. I was questioning whether I'd maybe gotten carried away by the end of winter and there were certainly some questions of whether I'd spoiled the character but all of that was forgotten by spring when it was glowing with colour from the wild garlic, primroses and bluebells. By the time summer came around it was looking the best it's looked in decades. This comes from the perspective of someone who loves wild, overgrown lakes.
Letting something naturalise is great if you've got 10000 years to wait for it to balance itself but otherwise you've kinda got to give it a bit of a hand by stopping certain species from dominating. Brambles, gorse, ivy, bracken, nettles and buddlia are always the first to take control, they'll take huge areas in short time to the exclusion of most other species and it'll take decades for anything else to get a look in unless they're controlled.
