My Dad was a big fan of covered bridges. We'd take wide detours just to cross one. It was going through his shop after he passed in 2019 that got me into woodworking again. Definitely going to have to build one of these in his memory.

I don't have a dog house, so I'm making a picket version of my basement couch. At least the dog sleeps with me, we have cable and a beer fridge.

Just wanted to let you know I built this today after watching this video 3 or 4 times and it turned out great! Love your channel. Keep them coming!

Dude, I made this today as my first wood project since retirement and my wife loved it. I think now I'm going to scale it up to a larger version. Your videos are great.

Matthew Peech made my daughter cry.....

when she saw the covered bridge mailbox I made by adapting the plans here. I also purchased the plans to make the mailbox post and replaced the aging bland post she had. Please listen to Matthew when he says you can do this - all you need to do is get started.

Love the project . Since I’m into HO Trains. The only thing different is on the ends. Make the ends a little more taller so the train can go through !! Lay in some track your set for your train layout. Joe

I need a series of “Dog House “ projects. A covered bridge every month is going to get suspicious. Great video!!

You built an absolutely amazing and cool birdhouse/bird feeder!
Well done, Sir!

Great build, I’d only change one thing. Make the roof hinge to make it easier to fill if used as a feeder.

I live in Knight's Ferry California, home of the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi. Your video just gave me the idea to modify your design to look like the K.F. bridge.

Matthew, I have to give you kudos .... These were the most detailed plans I think I've ever purchased. Will be purchasing more now that I've seen the finish plan product.
Greatly appreciated
Nat

I've got a HS classmate that recently moved back to Kentucky. He is making a book of the covered bridges that he's photographed over the years! Used to ba a lot in Ky when I was a kid. Oh and after 46 years, I no.longer get sent to the dog house...she just gave up, I think

Great video and project. Man is a great teacher. Soft voice and shows almost every step. Will watch more of his videos.

Qualify as an addict. “I want to just make one” while supposed studying for a medical certification. 😂 it’s so pretty though!!!

I think burning the roof shingles would look really nice and add another layer of weather protection.

Squirrels are going to move in if you put bird seed in it. This is a cool lawn ornament.

You really did an outstanding job on the design of this covered bridge. I love seeing old covered bridges. They have such a great history to them. Thanks for sharing

Made one today not exactly like yours but put my own twist to it thanks for the idea love your videos

This is a wonderful project!!! I learn something new with every one of your videos. Thank you! I will be making one or two for the birds, and I may make a larger version for our indoor cats! The cats love hanging out in strange places, and who am I to deny them that pleasure.
