Not EJ225. It’s an EJ257. 2.5L, Dual AVCS, with the IHI VF43 turbo. 2007 was the first year the STi switched from side feed fuel injectors to top feed fuel injectors, which helped create better combustion and easier servicing.

Also, the final drive was still a 3.90:1. The rear differential was a 3.545, however the center differential was a 1.1:1, so the combined final drive front, rear and center was 3.90:1, but it did have a longer 5 & 6 gear for better highway driving.
