Luke was my cousin. He loved racing, surfing, snowboarding, skydiving, shooting, & he was fearless, he lived on the edge. He said Jennie was family to him , that’s why he was very protective of her.
Luke introduced me to Shannen in late 2012 after I came back from overseas. He told Shannen what I had went through & she spent more time asking me about my life & got very quiet when I asked her about a story Luke told me about her.
I still think about him several times a week.
I wish he was still around. He was always telling me never let a moment go by without telling people how much they mean to you.

He was doing his job and he set boundaries.  Need to respect giuys like that.

He was a true Libra Man. And us Libras always love our Aries (I married one!). And since Jennie is always mentioning that her and Shannen Doherty were both Aries women, I understand their chemistry with Luke more now. Fire and Air is always magic.

Jennie, you were just a teenager not a sucker! This is a powerful insight into acting that I never thought about. They should teach this boundary better to young actors. I hope they can implement like an emotional intimacy coordinator. That's a confusing and hard lesson to learn on the job when you are trained to have real chemistry but not how to turn it on and off.

I can relate 💯 percent to what she’s speaking about. Charismatic people have a powerful influence and it can be harmful to others sometimes and misleading.

James dean of the 90s

This is just life in the fast lane . Young people can develop deep crushes on charismatic older people.  He apparently never got out of hand and it seems this is now blaming him for her feelings.  Such is life

Always thought they had great chemistry. 👍🏽🔥

Dax, you know we watch it in high school. I am so happy for u!

Jennie Garth was 18 when she started on 90210 this guy acts like she was 12. Luke was not a weirdo, so what if she had a crush also that I was a Sucker comment she did not mean that in a bad way, a lot  of young girls were a sucker for Dylan on that show LOLJennie was not a little girl she was a legal adult, but nothing happened as I said they were like a family I remember before Luke passed when Shannen was first given her diagnosis Luke stood with her and when she was fired from the show he had a problem with it

Thank you for sharing! Especially about such vulnerable  moments

I do not believe Jennie would ever say bad things about him. Everyone had a crush on Luke on that show but above tha tthey were a family so what she had a crush that s not weird and was not a little girl

am I missing something? The guy didn’t do anything?

AE is a quality podcast. This headline sounds like a cheap supermarket tabloid headline.
AE and Jennie deserve better, especially after a great episode.

No wonder she had feud w Shannon Doherty

Sounds like limerence?

So, basically it was all in her head. Luke was never interested in her as a woman, she needs to accept that and stop the ambiguous conversation trying to imply otherwise. Her behaviour is disrespectful towards a man who was her friend for so many years.

💙

This is a perfect case and point to why I personally don't like to date women that have male friends.    At this point in my life I actually refuse this.    I know they always say "you don't trust me" but if it's not the woman that feels this way then it's the "friend" that feels that way and they just wait around like a vulture to be that shoulder to cry on.    I can only imagine how her husband or ex-husband must feel knowing all those late night conversations with Luke meant a lot more than just "friends"
With that being said, good on her for keep it 100.  I've always said that I'd rather be crushed by the truth than live happily lied to.  I don't know her situation and I may be projecting my own insecurities a little but I think what I said holds weight.  I think a lot of people feel that way.

I really loved Luke Perry so much! I miss him and Shannen. No offense Jennie! I always shipped Brenda and Dylan.
