It could be interesting to see a story from the POV of someone like Snow’s granddaughter, someone who grew up in the Capital and had a privileged life having to choose between letting Panem heal and rebuild or restart the war and the violence.

If it’s from Snow’s granddaughter’s POV then she could be Snow’s mirror and have to make a similar choice that he did decades ago and unlike her grandfather she makes the decision to let the past go.

I do wonder if Snow's granddaughter reminded him of Tigris. They obviously fell out, but those memories don't go away. Having a small child with all of the good traits and none of the bad (yet) might be why they were close (at least in the movies)

For the first theory I think that they wanted district 11 to win being Thresh. Now at first most people will think I am wrong but if you remember, there’s a possibility that the area that he was in was actually some kind of grain, but he would’ve been able to eat and take care of yourself because he was never described to be one of the characters that lost a lot of weight, but that is Katniss narration, which is unreliable, but if it was a area with grain of some sort and then you have the trees I would agree with the assumption that the mockingjays were there because it would be something that would be in that environment same with the groosling being there also. They were not able to put any trees in there that would’ve been able to give actual fruit or something they could harvested food from

I think if there was going to be a book from after the games, a book focusing on Paylor would be best, because you could show the dangers of people like Coin and how hard it is to transition from a dictatorship to a more free society, when it's very, very easy for a new dictator to rise/ discontent to continue if people seek revenge on the previous privileged class.

I think a post rebellion book should be focused on making the memory book. It would add so many stories and characters

OFF TOPIC: I am listening to "Mockingjay" and I have a theory that I've never heard before. When Katniss was shot in District 2 and it came from the crowd, do you think the shooter could have been sent by Coin? Right before she went to 2, Coin told her that she basically servred her purpose and there wasn't anything else she was needed for. Could Coin have been trying to kill Katniss at that point to make her a martyr? Or she was still feeling threatened by her. It just popped in my head this morning as I was listening to that part

Also ... Here is a question that I just thought of. Maybe someone can help me out on this if I'm wrong. If I remember the first book correctly, nobody ever saw Katniss' pin. It was hidden in the arena and it was never really mentioned to anyone in Panem, other than a few people. Snow did see it when he crowned her, but it was just a small pin, and I see how anyone saw it to make it such a popular symbol in Catching Fire.
How could that have happened? Who started the symbolism? I find it hard to believe that anyone would have noticed it or anything.

the issue with a book set so closely after the og books is probably the inevitable movie about it. The actors have aged and I doubt fans would feel positive about recasting people that in the story should look the same. I don't know if Suzanne Collins would even care about the inevitable movie while writing her book, but the issue would surface regardless.
Instead, perhaps a book about the kids of Katniss and Peeta's kids could work better in that way. A book about their kids trying to keep their parent's message alive in a world that so clearly WANTS to forget history to repeat it

The post-rebellion story idea was mine, and I don’t necessarily think it takes away from Katniss and Peeta’s happy ending because it could always take place in the time between Katniss assassinating Coin and the epilogue. There are several years between those events, and as the saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day

Snow's granddaughter unlearning all the propaganda and misinformation she grew up in, and in some way helping keep those from The Capitol from undermining the fragile rebuilding of the democracy. And maybe a love interest that's district?

I think the hunger games (the first book) from Peeta’s point of view would be great or a book on peeta

Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if they just popped a grid for the arena directly down somewhere between 11&12 & then built underneath it or off site nearby for all the mutts etc. by no means do I think the mockingjays are common & I doubt most people know the Capitol even know of their existence. The jabberjays were released in rebel held territory for the Capitol to gain intel. 11, 12, 13. No other districts are shown to know what mockingjays are. But the environment was also clearly built with recognizable animals/mutts from 11 & 12… same with the trackerjackers!

Another thing that happend in 2016 is the center of the solar system stopped being inside the Sun.

I do like the Mockingjay in the arena theory but I'm not 100% on board with it. Personally I don't see the game makers having the ability to capture them to place the birds in the arena. Mockingjays have been shown to be highly intelligent birds in the hunger games lore. For example, in songbirds and snakes the peacekeepers and scientists weren't able to capture a single mockingbird specimen. Yet they caught many jabber jays. Another example would be the danger whistle they admit when a hover craft is nearby that alerts the rest of the group to remain silent and hide. I think it might be more plausible that the mockingjays made their own way into the arena like how certain animals in the real world seem to find themselves in places that are supposed to keep them out, including several bird species such as sparrows, robbins, ducks, pigeons, crows, even chickens. It wouldn't even be that hard for the amount of mockingjays found in the 74th games to naturally find themselves inside. They are technically an invasive species with no natural predators, so even if only a few found themselves inside the arena, they could plausibly grow to large amounts through breeding. It does after all take years to build an arena for a single hunger games

just subbed, so close to 5k! 🎉always love watching your videos and peoples theories

Can I ask that you put time stamps on your videos please as some of the theories I love to listen too while others I’ve either heard too much off or are too confusing. While one involving the presidents granddaughter was the one that drawn me to the video.

Theory one. It was Plutarch

5K!  Ya-hoo!

Theory 1 was from me!!!! ❤
