Who is listening with me in 2026? ❤

True story, Tony Joe performed just before it’s demise, at the Grand Emporium here in Kansas City. Because the owner was closing the club, there were no promotions for the show. There, about 30-40 of us Tony Joe diehards were treated to 2 hours of pure TJ. After which, Tony meandered from table to table just drinking  and swapping stories. A true hero of mine. I later learned that he and his son were drinking on Tony’s front porch in Kentucky, the son went inside to replenish the ice ,when he returned,Tony was sitting on the old couch and looked like he had fallen asleep. The doctor said it was a heart attack

His guitar playing and clean Strat tone are amazing.  RIP

This song never got old. As good now as it was half a century ago.

This is such a great performance. That’s a man right there.

He performed this song in Austin just a little ways from my home in Corpus Christi. Bless your heart Tony Joe.

Blows my mind,  what a fine musician was Tony Joe. 👏👏✨

When I first heard him singing his 'Polk Salad Annie' back in 1969 or 1970 I was so impressed with his voice. He had a great sense of rhythm, in fact he sounded to me like Jimmie  Hendrix, both in his style of singing and guitar playing, for he was a terrific guitarist.  Rest in peace Tony Joe White.😅

Down in Louisiana.  That's where I grew up. Hearing this, makes me feel so good.

I swear, I was just talking to a friend at work about TJ. (Today 5/21/26)We were talking about our top 7 singers. And here I find this video. Awesome. Totally Awesome.

Tony had so much Guitar talent, he could have been the Lead guitarist in any Rock band!.....This is a FACT!!!

Rest In Peace Tony. Thank you for all the amazing music. Unique voice and charisma that no one could match. 🙏

Makes me think of me and my mom who spent time in prison and I was home alone

Tony and E just had that COOL Swag!!!!!!!!!

One of the most underrated songs ever- has everything, harmonica  brass guitar soul singing ❤

Tony Joe White had SOUL.  Man, he could hit some great licks.  Blues, soul, rock and country. R.I.P.

Most underrated guitar player ever. His guitar playing was so clean and pure
