The black eyes in Ian Holmes' role as Gull is fantastic. He was such a great actor his portrayal was very frightening.

No… Gull was 71 at the time and had suffered from more than one stroke. His mobility was not good, he simply wasn’t physically fit enough to have carried out the murders.

There was a 2-part miniseries broadcast on CBS in 1988 that also depicted Sir William Gull as the culprit.  He was depicted as suffering from dementia.

Gull would have been physically unable to be JTR at that point in his life. Makes for a great story though.

From Hell was a good yarn. Good job man

Classic movie
Something different sir,
Nice background music

'No evidence for masonry in the murders' . Appart from throats cuts from ear to ear bowels placed over the shoulder, cut pockets and all metal removed. 88 yrs before knights book was published.

Yeah but if the real life Gull have the one ring. That's probably why he was able to walk

Edit: had to correct my typos because fat fingers and being on a phone

Nice Thumbnail

Great video i always wonderd how far off it was from reality it really was some think Jack the ripper was a guy HHH Holmes but good work man

How about instead of comparing the history to the movie, try reading the comic book by Alan Moore then compare that.

I always like the movie .

y This case IS SOLVED! We hunt serial killers and are qualified to hunt them with that being said We took on this case because of all the authors and ex detectives who were only thinking of making money off the victims of crime and in so doing this have added suspects that should never have been added along with adding things to sell their books. We will never take a penny for finding Jack and we will not be making any movies; we did it to give respect back to the victims and their families. We knew we could not use anything police back then said because they had no idea what a serial killer was nor how to catch one. We used today's tools and the facts of the case to find this monster we are working on the hard evidence the court will need at this time when that is done, we will give it to them. as of now we are 100% sure we know who the killer was. He was right under their nose just as he said he was, and police talked to this man, but had it not been for Sara Lewise we would never know who he was because she saw him lurking outside of Mary Kelly's flat at 2 AM watching her. Once he heard he was seen it was enough to scare him to give a statement as to why he was there. He only did this three days after Mary's inquest was over. Most people have overlooked him because police back then overlooked him. You must remember that just because police clear a person does not mean they are not the man they are looking for. Sadly, this is still being done today the Yorkshire Ripper was talked to nine times and cleared,Ted Bundy was cleared because he was studying prelaw, the green river killer Gary Ridgway was cleared because he passed a lie detector test even though the day before he killed to women, NOBODY should be cleared until a suspect is convicted. We believe that only two of the letters sent in are from the ripper they are the first letter to give his name jack the ripper came on sept.17th, and the from Hell letter. This man lived on Commercial St. Right in the middle of the murders, he looked like the man seen with victims before their death. He knew two of the victims, you may ask why this is important, well a serial lust killer will always try and target unknown victims but if they do kill a known victim, they will always destroy the face and sometimes the body to depersonalize that victim. He saw these women every day and his target victims were drunk prostitutes in their 40's. Mary would never have been targeted had she not asked this man for money. This man was George Hutchinson aka Jack the ripper! and he was in hunt mode but because of all the people looking for him he had to stay close to home and time was running out for a victim. The statement he made up told us he was our man and that he was listening to what people were saying and then using it to help himself stay hidden. almost all the authors and others missed these clues because they did not know what they were looking for. In that Statement he gives us what they were saying, they said in the beginning he must be a Jew that is why he wrote the message and left the evidence on his way home that was only a block away. When he was seen talking to Kate Eddowes he was dressed as a sailor with a red Handkerchief, and this was said in the papers, and he was dressed this way because they were saying he must be from another country. when they said it must be a rich toff down slumming that was who he gave them as the made-up man he says was talking to her and went back to her flat and that was why he said the handkerchief was red even though he could not have seen the color of it in the dark. He also had no reason to follow her back to her flat just to see if the man left and wait in the rain for 45 minutes, He did this because he was stalking her, and he felt safe from being bothered by police or anybody else because of how bad that street was.  He also made a mistake telling of the gold chain and watch with a red stone in it this man had. because the street he was on was known as the most dangerous street in all of London and police would only go down it with three or more of them. Had a rich man let that be seen he would have been robbed. We also believe that he killed more than they give him credit for. He would not have stopped killing. When George Hutchinson left London in 1891 all that type of murders stopped. There are two reasons for this case not being solved in the later years it's because of greed and keeping the mystery. people say well it has been so long the families don't care, I disagree, have they asked the families how they feel? i have never heard anybody has. Just because the victims were killed a long time ago does not mean it no longer hurts the families that is their flesh and blood and their family name, and they are part of history yet the people making money off them don't give the family anything and they don't make their graves real nice they give nothing to them and i and others feel that is wrong! I hope people reading this learn something from it and will either stop buying the books or going on ripper walks unless they give back the victims and their families. thanks for reading.

Abberline rather looked like Johnny, if johnny were mostly bald.

Interesting review, I disagree with you on parts (Are we still allowed to do that) I liked this movie, it reminded me of the Sherlock Holmes movie when he is hushed up on the Ripper conspiracy. Don''t forget like all movies/tv for the public CIA/Mi6 have to green light it and pass it through its media division censors before filming even begins. But Mi6 knows who the killers are, the fact that some of the evidence went missing once DNA was a thing says it all, your highness. ;) Even the FBI who does not believe in conspiracy say yes, the UK Cops/gov covered it up, and caught the real killer/killers. Don't forget the secret tunnels around London that allowed them to just vanish. But for now we just don't know. That's the whole mystery.
