WOKE REFERENCE PLEASE READ For some, being anti-woke means being a privileged white male, quite happy with the status quo in the Western world.  I will avoid sharing my opinion on the rationale of such thinking and instead, simply state that I am not against social justice (of course).  I am against a destructive political movement hiding behind a social justice banner.  I am against its financiers and the “useful idiots” that say they want good change, but then are hell-bent on “burning it down,” rioting, looting and terrorizing the population.  As men, I believe we are called to protect society at all cost, for the sake of our families and future generations.  With that in mind, I think that If change is going to be good, it will be evolutionary, not revolutionary.

Been looking at Ecuador since 2008. Looking forward to finally visiting soon. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings about this amazing country.

And the greenery is just breathtaking!

Sorry for misspelling: "Loja"!

Warren, please consider showing your audience the local water features, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and properties for sale in those areas at or around your ideal elevation.  Love the concept and your way of thinking!

Ecuador is underrated; once you arrive, you'll never want to leave! Enjoy your visit and, of course, our coffee, especially the coffee from Loja, which is the best!

Felicidades por escoger Ecuador 🇪🇨 es mi tierra mi país. ♥️♥️

I like your energy and tone with this. I've subscribed. Thanks.

Been looking at videos of Nicaragua and Paraguay, but now I'm interested in Ecuador as well.

Great video. I retired from the top of British Columbia to Kelowna 13 years ago. I've been visiting Cuenca, (and other towns in Ecuador) since 2011. From 1 to 5 months of our colder Canadian climate. (winter didn't happen in Kelowna this year! Warm and No snow). I lived 35 years on the Alaska Highway, part of the Pan-American Highway; and have lived with my Cuencano friends in their 5th floor condo in southern Cuenca. And, out the window, maybe a kilometre away, I see taxis and busses etc on - a part of the Pan-American Highway!! Coincidence. Love visiting Vilcabamba, but only for a few days . . .  (there was a CBC radio story about a family who moved from Ontario to 'Vilca' and have a home there. I've driven at least three vehicles in Cuenca, and San Fernando area, and Soldados road into the mountains and on the way back from Peru one time. Great fun. Considering a more permanent move to Cuenca where I know more people than I do in Kelowna. The city is so walkable and so familiar to me. I speak conversational spanish, pero, mi español es muy limitado. I do speak spanish todo el tiempo when I'm in Ecuador. Looking at visa options. If you haven't checked out the Amaru Zoo (Amaru Zoológico Bioparque ) do so. Plan on at least 3 hours for the walk in the southern hills of Cuenca. Take care.

Happy I found your channel. Getting older beats the alternative. Good sense of humor 🎉.

Stumbled upon you and your Ecuador adventures channel, and happy I did! I live in Bulgaria by default but dream of leaving Europe for all the same reasons you allude to in your videos. Born in London UK, I have lived in France and Spain and can tell that Europe is on the slide. With limited finances my husband and I have set our hat on Ecuador after extensive research on possible destinations to relocate. My channel is relatively new and combines my art practice, Bulgarian doings and dreams to move to Ecuador. I am quite taken by Loja but my husband prefers the suburbs/country around Cuenca. Your videos are both entertaining and informative. Thank-you :)
