Netflix looked at Velma and wanted to eliminate their competition

how old are the adults this show is supposedly aiming for? 14? that's an insult to 14 year olds.

The first 10 seconds of the video made me question if I actually wanted to watch this whole video

The best part about animation is that you can achieve things that could never be done in live-action, which is the exact opposite of how Netflix treats animation.

People aren’t tired of hand‑drawn animation. They’re tired of hand‑drawn done without intention.

When creators lead instead of business people, the medium shines again.

they don't know how to make good adult animation anymore, it's all just random cussing and gore with a little nudity thrown in, there's no story or joke

This is when you replace creatives with business people

I watched the trailer, and I was like "Wow, this is like an amalgamation of every trope of unfunny Family Guy clones, sans the violence."

A show made to satiate the massive fan base of Velma, huh? 🤣

This show feels like it WANTS to be an Adult Swim series, without understanding how to make an Adult Swim series. Kind of a "I have the ingredients, but no recipe, so I just guessed how everything went together".

It’s like someone told AI to write a Family Guy script without using any of the trademarked characters.

3:12  with the Simpsons and south park you don't even have to actually know who the celebrity is for what they're saying to be funny cuz the delivery is

We live in a post-joke world.

My subscription expired and I am not even sad or want to renew it.

This is how Hollywood launders money. We all know nobody enjoys Netflix slop

"My therapist says I'm a narcissist, but I think that's just because she's into me" is the one and only funny line in this entire thing.

Basically, the show is Tahani, the character from the Good Place. And like her, early in the series before she learns, the show has no awareness of how her constant references sound to other people.
This trait is fine for a character while the world and the show around them acknowledges that flaw. But this is NOT fine to any show/story/creator that has that flaw and zero awareness of the situation.

finally, Alex Meyers confessed he has a team!

I admire how Alex creatively solved having to jump through all YouTube copyright hoops with the original songs and stuff .

They should've just gone with the generic "being Asian be like" kind of show
