As others have requested it would be cool to mention the cost of various elements of this replacement. This would help people understand if it's worth the cost or just buy a new car

I know my Bolt EV isn't as glamorous as a tesla. But it's a 2019 and we have 2 that are used 6 day a week for Uber. We put 300 to 400 miles each daily. Both cars are at nearly 300k and have no battery degradation. I am very impressed with the car. And some people are reporting 500 plus miles with no battery degradation. Both cars look and drive like they did when bought new.

One trick that helps is to use 2 alignment rods with different lengths. You make sure the longer one seats in first, then you can lower the car onto the pack and make sure the shorter pin lines up without having to try and get both lined up at the same time.

Terrific video. Have gas cars and a Tesla. I am used to diving into the technical side of the gas cars, and really want to do the same with my EV. This channel provides a substantial amount of knowledge. Great job

People like to brag about how easy it is to swap an engine, but there is so much risk involved being responsible for leaks or any accessories not functioning properly afterwards. This seems very reasonable for shops to do as long as you can source decent batteries.

Ok....I'm excited to watch this one while also simultaneously pissed off! Lol.

I had a green 2014 MS 60 with the Tech package and tan leather interior that I loved!!! I wanted to keep it forever BUT wanted to install a 100kw battery pack in order to do so. I was told in no uncertain terms back in 2023 that this was NOT an option due to the connections!!! I sold the car and bought a M3 LR and I miss that old MS on a daily basis!!! Now I'm watching you say that the connector can just be swapped out for the old version.....and I'm a little pissed off inside! Lol.

Love my M3 but that S was nice!!!

I have a Model S 85D 2015 with original batterypack and I loved to see this video. I thought it would be a financial disaster if (when) the b-pack gives up, but I know now there are used ones for sale at a fraction of the price of a new. So it is fixable, and not that difficult. Thank you!

I'm becoming more interested in EV's and it's very eye opening hearing the different terms for servicing EV's vs. traditional ICE vehicles. It's almost like you're speaking a new language. Super cool to see this!!!
