Please note that no matter how you retract the rear parking brake piston screw (using the procedure in the videos, using a 12 battery to supply power directly to the EPM motor, using the factory computer or mechanically winding it back using a Torx bit after unbolting the motor), there is a small chance of setting a fault code for the brake system. If the fault code is set, it would have to be cleared with a good quality scan tool.

Great detailed and easy to follow instruction. My 2019 NX300 worked exactly as presented. Once E brake was retracted , I was able to further compress the piston and replace the pads.

Wonderful as always! Glad these videos are back (even blurred) they are very valuable and it's annoying that "companies" don't get that a LOT of DIY folks would rather have sound information and do it themselves than taking it to the dealer which does a half ass job or ends up messing something up...etc.

I have a 2017 NX200t and the instructions described work perfectly As a side note You don’t need a special tool for compressing the brake piston Old school

Just as an extra info for other people performing this activity, after you release the parking brake, you can push the caliper piston by hand or with a tool, like any other car.
