Press Release:

Season three of “Silo” continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences. The series is based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy, “Silo.”

Wait till the other silos find out #1 has elevators.

I haven't read the books so what I say is purely based on the TV series. Helen's notebook is very important in answering the question "why?". Bernard said the heads of IT had been looking for a wire bound notebook for over 300 years. That has to be Helen's notebook. She was an investigative journalist and would have noted everything about the silos both in the before times and after the nuclear explosion when they originally entered the silo.

I just decided to binge watch this show over the weekend and im hooked.

The fact that Lukas+Patrick survived precisely supports the theory that the poison is delivered on the way out: They had the 'good tape' so weren't exposed. Once they were outside their suits were punctured but yet they survived, so the point of delivery must have been prior to getting outside.

Bernard was poisoned as he left the silo main entrance. The "steam" coming from the ports isn't "steam"...there is reason this space is sanitized with fire when the doors close again, it wasn't the outside air that was the problem, though that is what we are led to believe.

Cool to see someone finally suggesting Daniel might have already had some Troy in him. I'm hanging my hat on that one. I thought the fog on the way out was indeed the compound, which is why they burn the chamber after the subject exits. Lukas and Kennedy went out on Juliet's time (there was a conversation with Camille about sending them out early IIRC) so there was no official prep and Juliet and co. would have dressed them and used the good tape. The tape may indeed be the weak spot and it seeps in with the bad tape. Also if they would have gone out when Camille expected, they would have had more supervision getting ready and if using the faulty tape wouldn't require the drone attack. I think since they went out unannounced an emergency drone strike was called in.

Helen Drew will be first to be sent to clean, I think.

Pretty brutal how they chose to separate Daniel and Helen knowing the bombs were gonna drop. And they seemed to even keep his sister in the dark too, so my much "family and friends"

Bernard died because he was sprayed with the cleaning gas on the way out. Kennedy and Kyle went out when IT were not expecting it and so were not poisoned on the way out. Juliette copped the spray, but had the good tape. Silo 17 peeps went out without getting sprayed and survived until the drones killed them. It seems pretty obvious from putting all of that together that the surface air is currently survivable, and that Silo one poisoned people as they went out to clean.

10:00 When they’re killing Silo 17 a generation ago, the big screen has a map of the silos in the top left corner. There are 9 silos (plus Silo 1) lit up back then. Now there’s just 6…

Simple reason the blasted tree trunks are still standing after 350 years. There is no wind, no rain within the perimeter of the silos. No weathering possible without weather. Everything on surface is mumified, dry roasted, preserved. So nothing green could grow within view of the 50 silos.

They're effectively contained within a stale bubble. All part of the carefully constructed illusion that there is no hope, no reason to go outside.

I think Helen's spiral-bound notebook is the most coveted relic. Bernard sort of alluded to it when they were talking about the Mission diary. He said the heads of IT have been trying to find a spiral-bound notebook for 300 years. I think the Helen flashbacks in Season 4 will probably show her writing in it.

I think that the Silos are separated for the simple reason, If they were in contact with each other, then there is a risk they may pose danger to the authority of Silo 1. Silo 1 fears that it might be taken over .. exactly as is about to happen in the next season.

I think Victor started working with Daniel and Charolette when they were young and lost their parents. Neither have vivid memories of their folks and from the start, Victor seemed like he had known Daniel for a long time when they met in hospital. Daniel and Charolette both seemed to be molded into positions in military and government from a young age

@JM-us3fr 3 weeks ago

I think it wouldn’t be that special if Juliet were a descendant of Daniel and Helen, because after more than 3 centuries, roughly 1/10 of everyone in Silo 18 should be.

My prediction is that on July 9th, Silo season 4 episode one will be the most watched episode of TV ever on Apple TV

Silo is a tragic love story. About a man who had his love and baby stolen from him with no way to get back to them as they are lost across time and then his memory of them taken as well. The rage he feels once he reawakens will drive him to destroy those that did this to him. Expect nothing but tragedy and death in S4 with some S18's who manage to figure out a way to neutralize the nanites in the air over the silo's and begin an exodus

@ricodelavega4511 3 weeks ago

the storyline that would make better sense is that victor began experiments during the new orleans post-dirty bomb levee project daniel took part in. Also, Helen's drugs in congress reporting actually stumbled on knowledge that a number of newly elected congressmen were under the treatment of victor.

Every other Silo 1 resident has obviously aged much more than Daniel. Daniel is only awake for long enough to solve each novel crisis, and we know there's been at least ten of them (not counting Silo 18) per the notes in his file. Daniel has likely aged less than a year while I would guess that the other residents have aged about ten years judging by the makeup they put on the older actors.

They call Thurman the "On-Shift Director". My guess is that she alternates Director shifts with Per.

That speech she was practicing before the bomb hit--I'm wondering if she was always planning to give that speech in the silo, AFTER the disaster.
