Correct thinners are very important too, found that out today the hard way😅

If you want your paint to look older, don’t wait so long after your clearcoat to wet sand. Wet sand a day after you spray your final coat. your paint job could look like it’s 50 years old if you don’t wait so long before you wet, sand and polish

Hi there!

I accidently sanded through my sanding sealer nitro finish, applied my black colour coat and didn't realise and now have a few rough spots where you can see the black has sunken into the exposed grain. Since these spots are technically high spots should I just proceed with applying more sanding sealer and carefully sand it flat in those particular areas again or is there a better approach?

Thanks!

Maybe a stupid question here... (I am used to automotive finishes... ) Can you accelerate the process with heat? I have IR lamps...Thanks

I have a long scale bass I'd like to refinish. It would be the body, front, back, sides and back of neck. How many cans would I need of the color coat?

Great video. Should I wet sand the color coat before apply clear?

When you heat the can it does increase the pressure, but it decreases the viscosity. I watched another video a couple of days ago that also wrongly said heating the can increases viscosity. I don't know if that's a common misconception among people who finish guitars.

Is a coat of lacquer sprayed with a spray can the same thickness as one applied with a pneumatic paint gun?

What color is the Telecaster at 10:35? Is that Ice Blue Metallic? Thanks!

Just finished my base coats today. Should I wet sand and buff the vintage formula clear lacquer?

Question for my first build, can you use a 2k clear coat with Oxord lacquers? If so which are recommended?

This is awesome, I was literally about to use the paint I got from you guys on new years. Is there any chance of having a custom color made? I'd live a black with red flake OR a metallic black with a red clear.
