We don't stop doing things because we're aging. We have to keep doing things to keep from aging. I'm not finished building my life just yet. Happy trails!

Howdy neighbor! At 70, I do the same and enjoy every day I wake up. Keep on keeping on!

My neighbor is 92. He still drives, does his own shopping, and cuts up a little fire wood with a chain saw so he can have a fire if he loses power during the winter. He does his own cooking and baking and only quit shoveling snow on his side walks a couple yrs ago. Grows a beautiful garden in the summer and even does a little canning. I've known him for almost 35 yrs and he just doesn't age.

If you’re enjoying life that’s what matters. I had to deal with the public all day when I worked. I enjoy my time at my home doing what I want, when I want.😊

I have a neighbor that is 85 and she push mows her lawn and edges her property. She has a pretty good nice property. As long as you keep moving and eat well maybe that helps

Who the heck is questioning what you're doing?  I am a 62 year old woman and tearing out a farmhouse in Wisconsin.  My friends are traveling the world.  For a bit I asked myself why I am creating my shop, my studio and my little farmstead?  Because there is such a feeling of accomplishment and learning in these projects.  Yes, I could tour the world, instead of cleaning out junky rats nests and crud, learning how to wire electrical and sand floors. But I am a hands on gal.  I would have much more appreciation as the artisan rather than the tourist staring at the architectural wonders of the earth.  Keep on with those projects, its the Journey man.

Live your life , cause there’s no place like home sir ,

You’re not that old , do what makes you happy!😃

To everyone that retired and still have good health,  I say, do what makes you happy.  Enjoy it. Tomorrow is not promised.

It’s a blessing to piddle around on your own property when you enjoy being there and are surrounded by things you like.

It shows how much you want to keep living your dreams plus provide for your fur babies ❤❤ didn’t ya want that shop for a long time ??  Well & the cats just happened they knew they picked a good person

We are all Caretakers for the next generation!! Wise words indeed 😅🎉

My Dad buys property, cars and tractors to fix up and resell.  He has fun doing it.  He is 86.  Don't stop moving!  Great video, thank you!

When we retire we finally have time to do all the things.  My retirement motto is…I do what I want.

At 62 I purchased 3.55 acres raw land backwoods in Louisiana. I’m 66 and I do more work in these woods constantly doing something and finding new projects to do. So, live do what you desire and keep on building, I call it generational wealth for my sons, and grands.  I got a lot of family members here in Louisiana.

What some people don't understand is,  when you hit a certain age and you have health issues or you have some physical problems and you can still get out and build or repair something, that is living life. I know when I can get and move the yard or some woodworking projects that makes me feel good. With my disability it's hard some days to just get out of the bed. So any little thing I can do, I'll do it.

You probably have a good 15-20 years of productive life to use that awesome shop.  After that you will still be chilling out on your property.  You are about my age.

I can relate! I live on 2 acres of land here in North Texas. I financed it in 2001 when I was still a strapping young man. Paid it off in 2021. Now I am getting to be an old man at 59. I agree. I ain't stopping. I'm gonna stay busy and plow my way through just as I always have as my body will continue to allow me! I just got back into cardio and weight lifting too..I'm not stopping anytime soon God willing. God has really blessed me - I am so grateful for the life and the independence I've had!

my gig as a college professor has burnt me completely out. I told them last week this would be my last year. I retired from the Army when I was younger but I'm done.

I'm 65 and retired at 61. Had a nerve ablation done in my lower back yesterday to stop crippling pain I've been dealing with for years. It seems to have worked btw. I have an old fairly large chicken coop (10 x 12 with 8' ceiling) at my little building that I used fence boards as siding. They are finally rotting after 20 years and a decision has to be made. I use the coop for outside storage and don't want to eliminate it. So: now that I'm pain free in my lower back I will deconstruct the coop and enlarge it/rebuild it using hollow block. With hollow block it will last 100 years or so: depends on tornadoes. Why? Sounds like a lot of fun to me and my back can handle me moving 20,000 pounds of materials by hand now. Stay tuned: there will be videos.
