Korea used to have an urban legend that if you run a fan in your bedroom and don't have any windows open you could die.   Because of this many fans made in Korea have an automatic shut off after a certain period of time.

That you don't have to wait 15 minutes after eating before swimming. It's a myth

A guy I knew jumped off the roof of his house with an umbrella because he thought he would fly. Broke his legg, the dude was 15 or 16 at the time. He's probably gonna win a Darwin award at some point in his life

I'm dying at "yeah, no thanks. I have no desire to be gaslit by a sky wizard" 🤣🤣🤣

Last year, right before Christmas, my neighbor asked me to take her to Costco as she recently had eye surgery.. We we walked in. I remarkied how OLED televisions  have come down in price and she dead ass said to me -"why would you buy one of those? You have to change oil in them". No shit. I said no, that's not how that works. They're solid state. She then wanted to argue with me. I just nodded and went on my way with her so she could buy those mlm cutco knives. 🥺. I guess I could have humored her and said that with every 5k hours of watching you have to re-pack the bearings. I wish I was making this up. She's an attorney.

5:29 sad fact. Burger King decide to once sell 1/3 burger to compete against mcdonald's quarter pounder. it failed because....people wanted the "bigger burger"

13:40 - not bees, flys. And yes, there was study made by legitimate aerodynamics engeeniers that stated they didn't know why flys can, well, fly, with wings to body proportions they have. However there was a 2nd study focusing on what 1st one missed, and now we know - it has someting to do with miniature air vortex their wings can create.

@8:18 The town I grew up in has Sunset Drive, East Sunset Drive South and East Sunset Drive North. All one road.

Some of these should've been in r/bad women's anatomy.

"There's a human sized jackrabbit at the bus stop" ... it's called a fursuiter, people!

5:20 THIS is something you’ve gotta know:

To compete with McDonald’s, A&W tried to sell a 1/3-pounder burger to compete with McDonald’s’ 1/4-pounder burger.

A&W didn’t get much profit out of that because people thought that 1/4 > 1/3 for some reason.

"The fetus consumes the menstrual blood for nutrients."

Wellllll, not quite but kinda.

Or as the kids say, "Well yes, but no!"

The banana myth follows the teaching of Dr Pangloss in the novel Candide, who insists that the reason we have ears is so glasses can fit on them.

Until 2 months ago I thought that Spanish music/dance style was called 'Flamingo', found out it is Flamenco... I'm in my 5th year of fulltime music school...

"If you're on your period a doctor can't take care of you in the hospital" <--my father. I asked what if a bus hit me. Would he just let me lay there and die. He quit saying that shit. Never knew where he got it from.

the mind over matter one is right
i can bend a spoon by making my mind move my hands in such a way that the spoon bends

anytime someone brings up the 1/3 & 1/4 argument i just ask is 1/2 more or less than 1/3 or 1/4..  the look of realization is priceless..

It was possible for us to breathe underwater a couple hundred million years ago.

I once thought that tagging up in baseball was like playing tag.
