I'm sick of telling people that the media is good at propaganda. You don't miss anything by not hearing the news every night.

statistics CAN lie. I can tell you 80% of people have grey hair. What i didn’t mention is everyone was above the age of 80

“ Tell That To A Fire Emblem Fan. “
As A Fire Emblem Fan, I Can Confirm How Annoying It Is When You Miss A Attack.

I am fed up of trying to explain to my friends that having divorced parents isn’t all just 2 birthdays.

The bit about the fish, I felt that.  Yes, I did grow up with several goldfish in an indoor aquarium, along with a pleco and a tiger oscar cichlid.  Had several bettas in little glass bowls with various water plants.  Loved them all to bits, cried my little heart out every time one passed.  We stopped after losing our second betta, we realised we were obviously doing something wrong and refused to put another one through that.  The goldies, pleco, and oscar lived for ages, a good twelveish years.  All of that being said now that I’m older and proper information is much more accessible I know they absolutely needed better conditions and and equipment.  It really hurts me when I go into petsmart or petco to get crickets and wax worms that all the bettas are stuck in those stupid cups all day every day.  And seeing the ‘aquariums’ advertised for them being the size I’d house my temporary bug catches in.  I don’t ever want to be the person who over steps their bounds, but any time I’m there and it looks like someone might be interested in getting a betta I stick around to see if there’s a way I can casually and politely bring up their proper housing conditions and that they can live for so so much longer and actually enjoy their lives.  Seriously, I just really hate seeing people looking at fish as some sort of disposable pet, like they don’t have a brain past instinct.  They do and they can be very lively and full of personality if you treat them properly!

There's a difference between "airborne" and "aerosolized".

"John Carpenter's The Thing" is not a remake of "The Thing From Another World".  They draw on the same source material, but there is virtually nothing in common between the two films (including characters, location, and type of alien, etc.).

Yes, Jack and Rose could have both fit on the piece of wood.  The wood's buoyancy wasn't enough to counteract both of their weights and keep them afloat.

Native Americans arent the same as Indians

That I only have one bad eye, I’m not completely blind

"Holistic" medicine is not the same as "homeopathic" medicine.

That I’m not lying or joking when I say that I’m blind. Yes, we exist. Yes, we can use the internet and technology. Yes, we hear what you’re saying when you mutter about us being annoying. Yes, we’re intelligent people. Yes, we go to normal school. Yes, we can get employed.
No, we’re not stupid. No, we’re not helpless. No, we aren’t incapable of basic tasks. No, my name is not Helen Keller. No, I don’t need you to grab my arm and yank me away from the wall because you think you know what I need. No, we don’t all have to get some operation to let us see. No, not all of us want to see. No, I’m not Dare Devil or Toph, stop comparing me to them.
For the love of all that is holy, people. Stop trying to act like you know what’s best for me. I think I would know what’s best for ME, not you.

That a cool sounding quote doesn't inherently make it meaningful or valid.

I’m sick of telling people that gender and sex are two different entities, gender is a mindset, while sex is what you are assigned at birth

I worked in auto repair, and frequently got people that couldn't afford a proper repair to their suspension. "Give me a wheel alignment and get my car driving straight again!" They couldn't get their car to drive in a straight line and not wear out the tires. I always wanted to scream "I can't rewrite the laws of physics for you!" I also wanted to scream "Go push a wet noodle in a straight line, then complain about not being able to do it!" Another time, someone came in with a used Jeep Wrangler that they recently bought. I did the wheel alignment, which was definitely a little off. They then complained that their Jeep Wrangler still has a rough ride. You own a vehicle with a short wheelbase, two heavy solid axles, and had design compromises just so it could be driven on pavement. The laws of physics make it impossible for you to have a smooth ride. Did you think I could turn a Jeep Wrangler into a Buick Electra?
13:58 I would just end up saying "I get paid less because I don't have to change someone's shitty adult diaper, it is safely contained in a test tube. I'll take the pay cut, thanks."
15:40 I have chronic fatigue, and it really sucks. So do all the other chronic diseases I have. I really got screwed when it comes to health. I'm not having any children because I feel like it would be the equivalent of injecting poison into a child. No child deserves that.
16:30 In mainland China, it is considered great to be pale. People will spend a fortune on skin lightening creams to be pale. Also, they carry umbrellas on sunny days to limit their exposure to sunlight.
18:19 I have read some reddit threads where someone will go to a hospital when their cancer is at an early stage, and can be treated with a high success rate. However, they are convinced that modern scientific cancer treatments are a cash grab from big pharma, so they use that homeopathic BS. By the time they see it doesn't work, and go back to the doctor, their cancer is a death sentence.
20:05 Every time I hear a motivational speaker, I want to bitch slap them.
20:20 Yes, the USA often has that problem. Before online dating, men were expected to meet women by going to a bar and having drinks. I can't handle alcohol. I would pretend to be a designated driver for someone and order Pepsi or something.

I'm in IT and I'm really sick of ELI5ing to end users why they need to actually do what I say first instead of insisting on a service call for some minor issue that we know will be resolved by rebooting. I'm in this job because I know how to fix things, Kevin. Contrary to your boomer logic, I'm NOT just trying to waste your time and rip you off by making you do a few troubleshooting steps before I send a tech.

OCD isnt a helpful thing that makes life more organized, its just f■king annoying lol

I think the old tale of "pay raise = more paid in taxes which ends up less money" was a rumour made up by employers to trick their employees.

Just because the job title, Architectural Drafter, has “Architectural” in it, it doesn’t mean that The person with that title is an Architect. The same goes for Architectural Engineers.

Everything that actually makes sense.

Lol at the lock picking full circle moment.
