Hi, thank you for playing our game! If you could please update the video title to refer to the game's actual name - Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Gear Shift... I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

After Sonic Triple Trouble 16-Bit, its nice to see the other Game Gear Sonics get the remake treatment. Sonic 2 GG needed this the most.

This could very well be the next triple trouble 16 bit on our hands. We will cherish this when it fully releases. Also this feels like a 32x game with how detailed it is

This is just gorgeous, it feels like a 100% legit Sonic game on the MD/Genesis.

Just for anyone who doesn’t know: the Green Hills Zone Music in the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on GameGear was used for the Intro of Sonic CD and around the time Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis was being developed and the plan for the Time Travel idea getting scrapped and later getting used for Sonic CD since development started around the time of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 being finished in 1992 since we do have a Playable Prototype Build of Sonic CD from 1992 that was a dumped a few years ago

A beautiful piece of jewelry, this belongs in a cartridge inside its box at a video game store.

Nice gameplay! It's cool to see that this game is making progress - it really looks like an updated Sonic 2 to the Genesis!

The sprite work in this is so perfect! Sonics sprite fits in so perfectly with the other 16 bit sonics but still carries that unique personality and style from the 8 bit games! This may be my favorite sonic sprite ever!

I honestly really like how they spirited their own take on a remake of this game rather than just “wow, it’s Sonic 2 for the Game gear, but it looks like it’s on the Sega Genesis now”

19:26 Saludos a ti también. En el directo ese mío que mencionas aquí fue donde expliqué los fallos de sonido que probablemente iba a haber en algunos cartuchos preferentemente antiguos, y razoné el porqué se producirían. Nadie me creyó.

Thank you for making the game I always wanted! Played the old one on SMS II religiously as a kid. Always wanted the MD version but the music on this one was so good, even better now with the 16bit FM sound 👌🏼

Hopefully this will make the game actually fun.

I'd like to think that in between Sonic CD and Sonic 2 this happened

@vzerfall 11 days ago

Looks gorgeous and cool, I just think it needs more/new enemies though.

This is what Sonic 2 on game gear should have been. If this was released after the Genesis version and this game had some time to cook I think it would have been better than what we got.
