So, this is basically Sonic 3, but the story continues from the events of the Sonic 2 "bad ending"—it's an interesting idea.

It feels so "organic" to the main story. I don't know how to explain it but seeing Azure Lake Act1 just evoked these feelings of all my childhood memories at once and made me smile. I really hope the creator finishes this one. It's like Sonic 3's lost parts.

You know this makes me wonder what ever happened to the Sonic 2’s Mecha Sonic’s remains? Cause both Metal Sonic and even Sonic 3’s Mecha Sonic’s have survived their initial defeats

In Sonic 3, Robotnik flamed the island. Here, he kinda flooded the place.

this has got to be one of the coolest fangames i've seen. the concept alone is captivating! the idea to have a player's failure to reach a "good ending" influence and completely change the rest of the narrative is probably not new. but the way it creates such a butterfly effect as seen here is so creative. none of the main characters have died because of the player's failure, but now the odds are even more stacked against sonic and tails, and we get to explore completely new parts of the world that had only been alluded to. the eggxecution and presentation is, of course, amazing. i can't wait to see what they make next!
