In recent times I have been trying to stretch my modelling legs a little and try kits that I otherwise would have ignored. This includes my general avoidance of vintage kits.
Matchbox were a widespread brand from the past that are now only available in 2nd hand collections (or reboxed, I suppose) and they made some interesting subjects. Amongst them is this, the Dornier Do.18 flying boat, an interwar mail plane, and definitely not a thinly veiled military aircraft, built in Germany. Did Matchbox do a good job? Well watch to find out!
