The St Brigid is such an amazingly intricate pattern design. I am in awe of all of Alice Starmore's patterns and in even more awe of those people who knit them. Remember, just like climbing Mt Everest, you go one step at a time and in stages, and definitely keeping breathing. 🙂 It is going to look brilliant Katie.

As someone who just finished her epic project (I cannot wait to show off my Henwife in my next video!), I just want to remind you that the effort is 100% worth it. It is not seasonally appropriate to wear my project yet, but I carry her around the house with me. She is sitting on the couch with me right now!

The fear of the unknown can be such a stealer of joy can't it, but jumping in as you have is the best I reckon. I love that wee purse you have your stitch markers in and all of the colours in that yarn. I did hear recently that the length of tail you have on a long tail cast on determines how the knit will go. You have a lovely short tail so that bodes well for this project apparently. You so have this.

I’m a bit apprehensive about restarting my Marit cardigan, a fair isle cardi you Steek from Laine magazine. It’s not the steeking I’m concerned about, have done that a few times before with no issues and I’m using Tukuwool : but it’s the pattern and incorporating the increases into the pattern. I’m too tight to buy the pattern when I already have the magazine but it’s hard to read the charts and I already knit half a sleeve only to realise I hadn’t got the pattern right. So going again I think I’ll draw the chart myself on larger graph paper and work from that. It also familiarises you with the pattern when you draw each square yourself.

Good morning dear Katie- I’ve only just watched your video and applauded your bravery 👏🏻, I’m wondering how you’re going? I think your use of stitch markers is great and reading the pattern ( I have the book) I almost feel like I’d want to use my highlighters to help define the instructions for each row - do you get what I mean? Anyway, I’m always happy to try and answer any questions…. If you have any that is 😂. I also have my friend, Helen who rescued me on my Eala Bhan -warm wishes from Elizabeth in Hobart ❤

My husband would not wear a tunic top and would want ribbing to bring it in. Check he is on board as it would be a shame if he doesn't wear it after all your knitting. 🤔 🧶
