“Save who you can save”

One of my favorite moments of this show

she nails every single part of Tess' body language. the way she stands, the way she pulls back her shirt, her wry expression, everything. fantastic acting

I love how Tess is so badass, but is the first to open about their feelings for each other. She is showing hope for a cure and expressing her feelings towards joel and remorse for what they did to survive to this point. She's expressing her last feelings to Joel while she is still human.

Anna Torv is a very underrated actress. She nails every part she has ever played

I honestly wanted Tess/Anna in the show longer. She brought that emotional intensity. Though I know it's how the story goes. But just brilliant acting.

Tess: "Save wo you can save"
Joel: cold blood perk activated

I remember wondering why they didn't ask Annie Wersching to play the part, as she was a TV actor in addition to doing the original voice and motion capture. After Googling her I was very surprised and saddened to find out she passed away so young.
Anna Torv did a fantastic job with the character, honored the character from the game, and proved she's one of the best professional actresses out there. She and Offerman probably gave the two best performances in the show. Bravo.

They shouldn't change the fact Tess is killed by soldiers. That part is cold because it clearly shows how humans are ready to kill each other when something goes wrong

She doesn't sacrifice herself. She knows she's infected so she chooses to die while protecting Joel and precious Ellie who holds the key for humanity's last hope!

If you play sparks by Coldplay at 1:10 it is so sad but fits perfectly, finishing exactly at the end and the vibe of the song fits the scene perfectly, I tried it, trust me, it’s worth listening to over this video

"You keep her alive"

It’s a huge compliment that I actually like the show tess more then the game version. That might be unfair because we get a lot more time with this version compared to the game but the way she was teaching Ellie about how the infected work and that you can see more about her backstory coming out like how she tells Joel this isn’t her home. That implies so much about hers and Joel’s relationship that it isn’t perfect and she has more to her story. I was thinking a prequel to the last of us focusing on Joel and Tommy after the outbreak started would be so awesome and show more of how he met tess.

The switch from emotional to emotionless from Pedro Pascal is really good acting

i’ve been loving the changes and additions to the show so far! i do wish they added the “oh christ” line from joel, he seems so silent here while in the game, you could tell he was shocked seeing her wound. i also wish they added tess’ franticness in her voice, if that make sense. the way she rushed toward ellie and talked about the wound really impacted me in the game; although then again, i think the franticness comes out differently because her voice is deeper than game tess, who has a slightly higher pitched voice. great stuff! i can’t wait to see what else they added to the show :DD
