The NFL on NBC w/NBC's 1979 Proud N-- far better than now.

Carl roaches was a heck of a kick returner.

The Houston Oilers had 6 Hall of Famers on the 1983 roster.

(36:25) Andrew Luck's dad sending in the signals to Peyton Manning's dad.

The next year, the oilers would get Warren moon and he became a star for them.

1:47:16

Gabe Rivera first sack.  Look at him split that double team.

Including #74 Bruce Matthews

Such a shame.  RIP

At 1:36:08 Jack Lambert unloads on Archie Manning. Then he walks over to Archie to see if he's alright. Personification of class.

i was kid in the 70s and a teen in the 80s, i was a football nut, but i don't remember Archie Manning.. lol

The First three Draft picks in 1971 were, in order, Jim Plunkett, Archie Manning, and Dan Pastorini. The Raiders had Plunkett on the Roster, but Traded Stabler to the Oilers for Pastorini so the Raiders had the #1 and #3 picks from the 1971 draft on their roster.  The Oilers traded for Manning when Stabler was let go. However, the Raiders tried to trade Stabler to New Orleans for Manning. You wonder what Manning might have done on a good Raider team that Plunkett took the Super bowl.

Manning and Casper were traded to Vikings on the Tuesday following this game.

You can still see the baseball stuff on the field.

Bruce Matthews played well into the 2000's.

Do you have the opening 1983 game against the Packers?

The greatest QB to never make it to the playoffs in his career. He's still proud that his son's won the superbowl.

Gabe Rivera was in a car accident, never walked again. 1:45.

Early 83 Steelers weren't that bad.  Just missing a good QB.

Archie manning maybe wasn't as good as everyone says he was.

Marv Albert isnt fooling anyone. That toupee is from fuve below

Albert states Steelers lead 3-0 when it was Houston up 7-3. at 26:48.

Wow that baseball insert had to be horrible.
