If you are a beginner picking up rhinestones is easily done with an ear bud and coating the end with candle wax . There are also very cheap pencils you can buy which pick up the stones very easily . Personally I started with the candle wax method but prefer to use the pencil as less having wax on the front of the stones , but it makes them super easy to place exactly . hope this helps . Thanks Rachel , I've been looking around for different hair ideas , and seen everything from how to make headdresses from plastic bags and masking tape , gonna give that a go , cause why not , and to how to make appliqués using material and rhinestones or lace appliqués . All very interesting for the beginner . The appliqué looks great at the back of your head :-D
