Shaun King tells the story of a seed planted almost 29 years ago — a phone call to a masjid, an imam’s kindness, and a search for truth that led him back to Islam years later.

This is so uplifting, may Allah bless shaun king, his family and all reverts/converts, not easy for many of them as opposed to us who were born into muslim families

I am not a Muslim but I have supported many families in Gaza over the last 2 + years. I have little myself but I have given up eating at restaurants, travel, etc. in order to do this. I have also asked others in my community to help me do this. I have been able to send over 30K this way. Now, I mostly support only one family. They are in the al Mawasi camp, peace be upon them. I am grateful to you, Shaun, for your continued inspiration.

I have followed this man for a decade well before islam. I knew he was sincere in what he did in defending the injustices of others. Hes been through a lot. Allah opens the hearts of the ones with a sound heart. SubhanAllah

Converting to Islam can be a struggle, but only from the perspective of guidance. Allah guides whom He wills—this is the ultimate truth. His signs are everywhere, and anyone who sincerely seeks divine guidance will recognize them. But if Allah has sealed a heart, then no miracle can open it.

My brother, you have been chosen by the Almighty. SubḥānAllāh. May Allah keep all of us steadfast in our dīn. Āmīn.
