The modern person lives better than the finest of Kings back then.

800 years later: "Why you wouldn't last 24 hours in millennial times"

It's astonishing that our ancestors in medieval times didn't give up at life and kept reproducing so that we could just play video games and eat doritos

the fact that i can use a heater or an air condition means i live better than a king from medieval:face-blue-smiling:

Fun fact: ergot contains an acid in it called lysergic acid amide. Chemist Albert Hoffman experimented with this chemical in his lab and accidentally  absorbed a tiny amount of the substance through his skin and on his bike ride back home, he started having extreme hallucinations. The substance he produced in his experiments that caused these effects is called lysergic acid diethylamide, also known as LSD.

Its a total miracle that humanity made it to where we are today

I'm so grateful for being here and now.

Hold up my dude. You mean to tell me there was a time BEFORE the internet???

And now a real eye opener. ALL of us alive today had ancestors who survived that nightmare.

A few clarifications, meats were typically smoked for preservation, grains were indeed a challenge to store, but it was stored in sacks, crocks, and charred for longer storage…breads were deliberately over baked to harden the surface for longer shelf life…water was boiled, but storage was limited, spirits were also available as it could last far longer, and vinegar was a preservative for many foods…, salt treated foods, common…and drying either by natural or heating added storage time…so they did ok, the weather dictated what and how things were rendered for storage…

“The smell of medieval city’s was LEGENDARY “ Had me dying😂

Most of us wouldn't even survive in 1800, let alone medieval times.

Most people would not survive without their phone in this time, much less medieval times.

Wow, this was such an eye-opening watch! It’s crazy to think about how much we take for granted in modern life—things like clean water, basic healthcare, and even safe shelter were unimaginable luxuries back then. The sheer struggle to survive just one day in medieval times is mind-blowing. Makes me incredibly grateful for the comforts and conveniences we have today. Great video, really puts things into perspective!

A few weeks ago, I was chatting with a friend about how manifesting never seemed to work for me. I’d tried so many methods but still felt stuck. We heard about a book called Manifest the Unseen by Luna Rivers on a podcast, and I was hesitant at first. But after reading just a few chapters, I realized how much I was missing. Eva's approach is so different from anything I’ve ever tried. It’s not just about thinking positive, it’s about aligning with real-world actions that bring your desires into reality. Now, I’ve manifested opportunities I never imagined possible, and my mindset has shifted completely. If you’re frustrated like I was, don’t hesitate. Read this book. It will change everything ❤

I'm so glad I came across this video today.  I really needed this reminder of how absolutely wonderful my little life is.

Whenever you feel weak just remember that your are a descendant of the strongest people in medieval times

Edit: not a single person from the comments understand what i meant. I mean immunity. You are alive because a generations of people survived deadly diseases.

"the smell of medieval cities was legendary"

This statement is diabolical 😂😂😂

Believe it or not, leeches (known as medicinal leeches or “leech therapy”) is still a practice in today’s world.

I work in Canada at a large urban hospital, and while its use is relatively rare, leeches can be applied to the skin after microsurgery or a skin flap creation. They literally suck a small amount of blood when they’re applied which decreases inflammation and helps ensure the new flap takes.

The setting is quite controlled, and there has to be someone with the patient at all times to ensure the leeches don’t get lost or misplaced. They’re also killed right afterwards.

Jesus. I will never complain about anything ever again. I never knew I had it so good.
