THE SEEKERS – I’LL NEVER FIND ANOTHER YOU | 60s Folk-Pop Classic Reaction

In this The Seekers I’ll Never Find Another You reaction, we explore one of the most beloved 60s folk-pop songs to ever hit the charts. This track was a huge international hit for The Seekers in the mid-1960s, and today we finally sit down and experience why it still resonates so strongly.

ABOUT THIS VIDEO
We are reacting to “I’ll Never Find Another You” by The Seekers and breaking down what makes this song feel so timeless. This reaction looks at more than just the catchy melody; we talk about:
• Vocals & harmony (Judith Durham’s lead and the group’s tight vocal blend)
• Acoustic arrangement (guitars, gentle rhythm, and space in the mix)
• Songwriting & feel (Tom Springfield’s melody and emotional but simple lyrics)
• Legacy & impact (how this 1964 single topped charts in the UK and became a defining song of the group’s career)

It’s a beautiful look at how strong songwriting, clear vocals, and honest lyrics can create a song that lasts for generations.

Judith Durham had such a beautiful voice. And if you do a deep dive you’ll find out she was a beautiful person. RIP Judith. Georgy Girl, Morningtown Ride and The Carnival is Over are good ones to react to. Thanks for reacting to this beautiful classic.

The great Judith Durham. Once heard, never forgotten.

Judith’s voice was always perfection. Crystal clear and strong, despite the fact she had life long lung disease and emphysema, and yet in her 70s she still sounded clear as a bell and powerful, and always pitch perfect.

Believe it or not, that studio (Abbey Road) was probably the best recording studio in the world at that time. The Beatles used it to record their songs. Even to this day, The Seekers are the best folk band the world has ever seen. Their songs are timeless.

Fun fact:
“On May 15 1965, The Seekers did the unthinkable and dislodged The Beatles and "Ticket To Ride" from the Number One spot in the charts with "A World Of Our Own." A week prior they were presented with a gold disc award on 'Top Of The Pops' for worldwide sales of more than a million copies of their first Number One hit, "I'll Never Find Another You."

Beautiful song! The Seekers were another great Australian folk pop band from the 60's. Judith Durham had such a beautiful voice. She passed away in 2022. They had so many great hits including "Georgy Girl", "The Carnival Is Over", "A World Of Our Own", "Morningtown Ride", "Someday, One Day" etc. They have beautiful voices & harmonies. They don't make nostalgic music like this anymore. Reminds me of a simpler time.

The Seekers knocked the Beatles out of the #1 spot on the UK charts with I'll Never Find Another You....

BTW the Seekers were using the Beatles sound studio for this recording

1964 Graduated High School is all I'll say 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's best time for music.

The Seekers were an amazing group with wonderful harmonies. They were pure talent, not the "fix it in the studio" type of grouo. No auto turning, just talent. RIP Judith.

"The Carnival is Over" by The Seekers gives me goosebumps. It's one of the most beautiful and saddest love songs of all time. They also do gospel songs and folk songs with beautiful harmonies. Judith Durham is right up there with Karen Carpenter in my list of most beautiful female voices.
