That first tee announcer cheerleading an abusive chant against Rory McIlroy was beyond disgraceful.

What was embarrassing was not the performance of the Americans but it was the behaviour of the American fans and rhetoric pushed by the American captain

I’m a native of St Andrews. We have the phrase: ‘Trash with cash’ which pretty much sums up a lot of the crowd at Bethpage.

The crowd deserved the ass whooping their team took. The way they treated the Europeans was disgraceful and Bradley or the PGA should have asked them to get behind the team but to be quiet during shots. They crossed the line.

The tag "ugly American" used to be a stereotype depicting loud, ill-mannered, arrogant, self-absorbed, ignorant, thoughtless, culturally insensitive, and racist behaviour usually applied to American tourist as well as American corporations abroad.
Now the term can be applied to (some/most) Americans everywhere.

The American teams are mimicking their President. The World Cup is going to be worse.

A saying widespread in Europe. "All Children and Americans, must be accompanied by an Adult".

The fans were pathetic

The shocking thing was the way the American players failed to stop any of the obnoxious insults being thrown at the Europeans.
It appeared more like they were encouraging it like cheerleaders ramping the crowd up!

As for the wrong course set up,  all of the players had the same test so all down to an American failure.

How is this not this channel not at a billion views? That guy knows BALL! The algorithm has something against this guy. KEEP IT COMKNG CHAMP!!

No AI, no egregious clickbait, no complaints! Great video. Love your channel. New sub here!

As an american with a lifelong love for golf, it was absolutely embarrassing to see how the fans treated the European players. I couldn't even watch it on tv because the embarrassment I felt.

As an American, we needed to get our asses kicked. We needed this! Europe was thorough and man they played great!

Hang on, it was special, we spanked the yanks in their own backyard, against an extremely hostile knuckle-dragging crowd. Who the hell runs up and down waving a flag to get the crowd going? Why did Team USA lose? Arrogance. They thought all they had to do was turn up and wave a flag. I hope this wakes Team USA up for the next Ryder Cup

I feel like the US team asked for the rough to be shorter to allow them to use people like brysons drives with less risk

I was there Sunday and Friday and it was just plain embarrassing and your ruff thing was a Understatement it was literally normal grass length my grass on my yard is longer than at Beth page

Americans, in general, are embarrassing.

Reminder that Europe have now won 9 of the last 12 Ryder Cups so this loss shouldn’t be that surprising, irrespective of course set up, the players or the terrible fans.

The rydercup is a great moment to show the sport to friends and family who think golf is boring, because it feels more like a "normal" sport, big loud crowds, team play, intense moments, players showboating, etc. and a lot of my family and friends actually watched and thought it was entertaining.
But I don't think it was a good representation of how the sport is overall, very disrespectful people, it really sucks when people can't control themselves, and that's what happened, it was fun and "sports-like", but then you get a guy calling Rory a f*g in front of his family and other throwing beer at his wife and it ruins everything. state of the usa I guess tho.

I was utterly embarrassed by the disgusting behavior of the fans, much of the US team, the US captain and the organizers. The team actively encouraged this revolting display, all the while getting destroyed on the course. This garbage started in 1999 in Brookline with drunk morons shouting at players and walking on greens. It needs to end, right now. Organizers need to throw out drunk and unruly fans. I'm sick of this whole "it's the Ryder Cup, it's supposed to be loud!" argument. There's supporting your team and then there's being a moronic asshole. This was the latter. They should never hold the Ryder Cup in New York again.
