Dont be fooled by the thumbnail, if you're looking for the comparison between different brands of portable power station, you may skip this video, the whole video is all about Jackery only.

They are not Solar Generators, they are batteries with an inverter.

I would have really liked a comparison of eco-flo, anker , bluetti

I have been watching your videos since the covid times.  Finally, I understand enough to buy a Jackery 2000 with the Lithium iron phosphate battery.  I am a good nurse but not a Tech person unless the device is attached to a patient.  The Jackery seems simple to use compared to others you have reviewed. It only took me 5 years to buy this solar power station. Thank you.

He's a Jackery man. He should change his name to Jack Jackery. 🤓

I’m a 68 y/o female and this video has helped me to have a basic understanding of solar power.  He did an excellent job explaining this. My entire home is electric and my home is on the Northern east coast as we do get hurricanes at times. Hurricane Sandy took out our electric for 5 days….other homes in the area were out over a week. My home isn’t suitable for permanent solar panels on the roof since my lot size is small and my neighbors trees block the sun to my roof.  I have a gas powered generator but at my age I’m searching for a easier solution to power up the necessities that I will need if my electric goes out

Excellent video!  We have a Oupes 2400 generator that got us through the Los Angeles fires for 25 hours and it still had over 40% battery left. We only ran the life support essentials for our son who has ALS and needs a ventilator, oxygen machine, feeding tube Joey pump machine, electric automatic bed with special airflow mattress, nebulizer and cough assistant   We were so glad we were prepared for such a time as this because it saved his life. LADWP said they were not available to come out and all fire departments were busy with all the fires going on so we couldn’t call them to get him to the hospital. He is bedridden so it would have been impossible to get him to the hospital. Bless you Kris for explaining all the options.

Great video! I built my own by watching your videos about 2 years ago.
I didn't know anything about solar, and very little about electricity, but it still works.
Great tutorials if anyone is interested... it's fun to!!

Thanks... decided that the Jackery 2000 V2 is my best beginner system.  Subscribed.  Best break down video on Youtube

😊! Excellent video explaining the basics of capacity, watts, ups, eps, and the like...all relevant for any power station consideration.  Thank you Kris😊❤!

I very nice commercial for Jackery.

Definitely a Jackery commercial!

So many options out there, so confusing for a newby. Thank you for doing the legwork and explaining it so well.

The breakdown of the five tiers was exactly what I needed to understand the market.

Kris - this was very validating for me. I was very fortunate when Hurricane Helene swept through NC last year (I never lost power, but people 3 miles west of me did) and realized I needed to get myself prepared in case I'm not so lucky the next time. This realization jump-started my preparedness journey and eventually led me to your channel, which I just L-O-V-E!! The reason today's video was validating for me is that I have already purchased a Jackery 1000 v2, with a solar panel!!! I'm surprised and relieved that I made a good investment. I'm still paying on this generator, but paying over time made it financially manageable for me. I started prepping during the winter, so I'm all set on cold-weather needs. Now, I'm planning for hot weather -- fans, more water for me and the critters, etc. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all the time and genuine caring you put into your presentations and programming. Best wishes to you and your family for a safe summer.

I have the Jackery 2000 Plus 24kW full expansion setup. Part of the reason i chose this is the redundancy for solar inputs which is critical in a grid down situation when spare parts are no longer available. This is something i have NEVER seen anyone talk about with this unit. Jackery does not advertise that you can do this, and after many conversations with them i don't even think they know you can do this ( they never seem to really understand their products)
The Main 2000 plus unit allows 1200 watts through 2 DC inputs. Each expansion battery allows 1200 watts through 2 DC inputs but the key here is that no one has ever talked about (that i can find anywhere on the web) is that you can charge from any input while its all up and running. You don't have to just charge the expansion batteries from solar separately, which would require powering it all down to swap the expansion batteries in and out. When everything is all connected It back feeds throughout the system.
I can plug directly into my expansion batteries with the solar input even with nothing feeding into the main 2000 plus unit, and it charges EVERYTHING, all the batteries, the main units. not JUST whatever battery you are plugged into!
I'm currently putting 4800 Watts into mine over 8 DC ports. 2 Jackery adapters with 600 watts each plugged into the main unit so 1200 watts total, Then 2 more adapters with 600 watts plugged into battery 1, Then 2 more adapters with 600 watts each on Battery 3 etc...
The genius of this for prep is that each has their own controller so if something happens to the MPPT on any one of the components you just move your solar input to a different battery  port and it keeps charging the whole system!
Theoretically you could adapt 14,400 watts of solar input across all the inputs, I've been doing it with 4800 watts like this daily for over a year with no issues.
So if there is a long term grid down situation and spare parts are not available you have 24 inputs at your disposal to keep the system functioning and charging vs 2 inputs on most systems  and if those fail you get no more solar charging.
I wish i were savvy enough to make a video showing  all of this for everyone this because its the hidden Gem no one seems to know about!

You have a way of explaining things that hits the mark, a balance between well researched, comprehensive information, and a simple, easy to comprehend delivery.  I've been thinking about getting started in solar for a while now, and your videos have helped me get the lay of the land, so to speak.  Thanks.

I got a jackery 500 to charge my phone and run a lamp. I got a pecron 1500 to run my fridge, coffee maker and electric skillet (not all at once) nothing making my 2 year old happier then pancakes in a blackout.

Well done once again Kris!  When you introduced the spreadsheet that was a game changer for me. You can crunch your numbers based on your personal needs against your personal budget. 🤙
