Goodmorning from Texas ! Man...I am so lucky to have a full set of luthier tools...I can turn almost anything into a bad azz guitar...I often buy cheap guitars on Facebook market place...for like 20.00 to 50.00 dollars....then I fix them and sell yhe for 100.00 fully setup...fret jobs...reset necks..watever it needs I get it done...then I try to get them in students hands...I am retired and I am a home body ....this is my life...fixing guitars and playing them for my dogs

I've watched Elmo's videos for 5 years and have found that he's real and not sponsored. He is an excellent guitar player.

"It might work for ten years, it might work for ten minutes." Jet should put this on their marketing campaigns 😆

I can only speak good about the Harley Bentons. I have almost all mentioned in this video (or similar models) and are awesome for begginer - medium level players like me. Really good quality price ratio. I even have been in Thomann shop, and tried Harley Benton at the same time than Epiphones and Squires with the same setup and does not justify the additional price (for a beginner/medium level). I can recommend, the Telecasters, Les Pauls, HB35... over the Harley Benton stratocasters. My Tele caster cost me 80€, I bought new chinese Alnico pickups for 20€ and it sounds and plays better than the HB ST Vintage Delux that cost more than double.

It is amazing that for the prize of one Gibson we can have now a collection between 5 to 10 guitars that sounds and perfoms good enough.

Elmo I love your videos. Practical, simple, educative... and with good ethics!

This guy is so engaging and well, authentic.  Great budget guitar ambassador.  Thanks Elmo!

Amazon had some Censtar guitars a couple years back that cost $150. They didn't sell them for long, but there is nothing about the one I bought that even remotely comes across as cheap. If they were consistently available, I'd have them at the top of my list. The quality of the guitar, hell, even the packaging is just unbelievable. Because they aren't so readily available, though, the Squier Bullet and Sonic series are my go to. No other series has been able to consistently impress me like they have. Buying UK brands in the US takes them out of the running simply because the shipping costs are so ridiculous.

You are soooo right about Jet guitars. I am old and have money top spend on my hobbies. Had plenty of $2000 + Fender, Gibson, PRS guitars. The ones I now play everyday:" Jet JS-300 (did put Seymour Duncan SL-1s in it...wow), JT-300 and the JJ-350. I could not ask for more in guitars than what I have in these. Plus I can buy extras of each to be sure I don't run out :)

I recently cleared out my collection of guitars mainly due to not -playing them.
Out went the ones with necks that made my left hand ache, this left me with a
more sensible collection of Ibanez guitars.
If you have small hands, Ibanez necks are so much easier to play than Fender
or Squires thick nicks.

Wow, the Cort (number 4) I am in love 🤟

Hi Elmo,I'm 50 years old and have had the opportunity to play many guitars. With time and hindsight, I wouldn't buy expensive instruments anymore, given the quality currently offered by manufacturers on instruments costing between 300 and 500 euros. Long live affordable guitars and tube amps!

Im 73 years old, probably not the age your accustomed to hearing from.i live in canada,a colder climate and a climate that would be used to.i have a squire classic fifties vintage guitar but I can't have a whammy bar on that particular guitar and now I want a stratocaster type guitar so I can have a whammy bar.i like your videos and I think I'm addicted to watching them but in a good way.i like budget guitars and I agree with many of your choices.

Fireflys are a great choice, but you have to be quick to get them, or they are gone and don't know if they will be reissued again. Haven't looked in a while but the Jets were tuff to get here in the states just like the FF's there. I have several of those in this video mainly the HB's, and I did have that indio which wasn't bad but had a lot of fret sprout. I Liiiiike my cheap guitars. Great video again and HONEST. That's the way I take my medicine!!!!!

That HB Les Paul style guitar sounded really good!!!

I would recommend checking out Fesley guitars. I have their FTC1000 T-Style guitar but their Strat FST1000 is also amazing for their price point and would love to see videos on them in the future! They have Mahogany bodies, Rosewood Fretboards, Wilkinson pickups and bridges and bone nuts at the $300 price range, though I was able to get my FTC1000 for $220.

I'd be genuinely curious to know how Harley Benton has affected sales numbers for the big brands over the past 4-5 years in particular. They make such incredibly nice guitars for under $400, but the sub $200 guitars are insane nowadays. I bet they sell so many guitars that they own the majority of market share now for that price range. The TE62CC and JA60CC are my 2 favorite for the money. Nobody on the planet makes a guitar as good as the JA60CC for under $250.

I've got Harley Bentons and Jet guitars. All outstanding value for money agreed. Harley Benton T series have vintage tuners and  like Jet guitars have a three saddle bridge. The Jet teles have a top loading bridge. I don't agree with the negative comments regarding Squier guitars though.  I have three of the  latest Affinity Teles and these are outstanding value for money. Between 220 and 240 quid. They have a body carve. Six chrome saddle string through bridge, split shaft tuners and lacquered headstock with the Performer style 'TELECASTER' printed on the headstock. They pack a punch too. Super finishes in a range of Fender colours and a comfy neck.

Really like that buzzard headstock on the blue Strat copy at 2:52. Got my eyeballs popping out.🙂
