1:50 Tina's jeans aren't as long as the original girl's so there is less material to drape which is why the effect is more harem. If Tina's jeans were longer (or if she pushed the hairties up higher on her leg), she could disguise the gathers in the fold because there would be enough "turn of the cloth" to drape over the gathered area.

I think for the t-shirt and kimono shirt hack, you probably need to start with a much more oversized fit of shirt for them to work the way they do in the videos!

i work at a clothing store and a customer asked me to help her with a scarf hack she saw on an instagram reel, it was also filmed and edited wayyy too quickly we watched it on repeat like 30 times. i was watching the video and telling her how to do it step by step, kinda like how alfred was helping you, but i guess she was convinced i was telling her to do it incorrectly (she wasn't following my instructions) and she got frustrated and yelled at me "you're young, you should be helping me!" like... that's exactly what i was doing lady 😭

I think she buttoned the shirt very asymmetrically to give a lot more give on the sleeve side, and she’s holding the sleeve “scarf” down with her bag, haha

I think the button up shirt to kimono top would work better with one that isn’t so fitted so you have more fabric for the cross over. Otherwise I think it’s genius and I might have to try it myself now for work this summer!
